Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Here are some plans Treyarch has for Blackout post launch...

  • Redeploy directly into the next game if you die
  • Better looting system
  • Better supply stash UI on consoles…better multi user UI
  • Way more information on how you were eliminated. Want to add more details to kill cam to allow players to know what happened.
  • They are working to adjust how you can look while using a wing suit.
  • Given themselves new ability to tune Armor in Blackout. New capability allows Treyarch to change the hit location tables for the armor. Not in Day 1, but they are testing this out.
  • They are discussing “rather than having Armor being picked up from a dead player, it becomes pieces of armor” that you can pick up to repair your own armor.
  • Better HUD and UI. They want the game to be fun to watch. Take that pretty seriously.
  • Dynamic time of day once performance settles.

Probably a mistake but I'm picking this up. Haven't played on Xbone for like a year or more but we back son. Thank you MS Rewards for the free Gold sub.

I doubt I try to play late tonight, my body will be ready to jump in early tomorrow morning. A couple friends on Live took off work tomorrow also for this.

Blackout will kill fortnite
I doubt it. Half the appeal for it is the goofy style. People like the bright graphics and dancing, and crazy customization. I don't think it's a coincidence that Overwatch and LoL had a similar aesthetic...

I pre-ordred it on Xbox.com to get beat. Cancelled it. Bought hard copy to flip it when I grow tired of it and re-coup some money. Since I did that, I already had it on my Xbox One and was able to download the patch last night!

Yea I bought a hard copy as well. First one I've gone with on Xbox, but since I don't play Xbox much anymore I figure I can sell it after a few months if it's no good or people I play with move on.

I figured it was time for my once a year post to check on my old TXB friends with the release of a new CoD game. Is there any UVGF Groups on XBL I can join to find fellow members who are playing BO4? I searched the forums but can't find it. Thanks for any help. Looking forward to trying out Blackout tonight, I've missed out on the Battle Royale craze the past few years.

The first Cod that has me excited and happy since 5+ years now.

I can honestly say this is a good, high quality game. But as usual the servers are under heavy load so sometimes the performance is s***. But the gameplay itself is really good and plenty of content.

I impulse bought the game then when going through the menus remembered there was no single player mode :smash: How is everyone finding MP?

Game is great. PUBG has been fun, but this game is so much better.

And general MP is great too.

I’m surprised how smooth this launch is. Since late last night the game has ran great. I’ve only had a little lag a couple times.

Regular MP is decent I just need more time with it. I love the Blackout mode we had some good matches this morning. Came in the top 5 a couple times. It feels so much better than PUBG.

Fortnite had more Twitch viewers on Black Ops 4's launch day. I think we can put the "Fortnite killer" moniker to rest now.

On a more serious note, I played a few hours tonight and found yet another reason why this BR mode is lacking.

The game struggles to support team oriented play.

- There's rarely incentive to trade guns, ammo, and items with teammates.

- Communicating with your teammates during a battle isn't as effective as it could be due to such short TTK. Pre gunfight it still matters though.

- Getting knocked results in instantaneous death 97% of the time. There's really no interesting scenarios that develop around a knocked teammate.

Playing duos or quads really feels like each team member is playing a solo match, where you ask your mates "Are you good?" at the end of each fight.

I feel like the human in that pig face episode of the Twilight Zone right now.

Blah Blah Blah! Fortnite is my Soul!

Played a bunch more today. The regular MP is growing on me we had a lot of fun with a full squad.

Blackout is definitely the best BR game on the market. Pretty much nothing about it annoys me. PUBG and Fortnite has its annoyences.

Had this pre-ordered at best buy, but gamefly sent a copy out so I cancelled my best buy order. Was only using this game to pass the time til RDR2 anyway, this way I save $45 and just have to wait a couple extra days, and I'll probably need to delete that 50gb patch in order to fit RDR2 anyway! haha...
