Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

The spawn logic doesn't even seem the worst, it's just that the maps are too small imo.

They indulged the sweaty gamebattles crowd. Simple, symmetrical (or kinda), three lane maps.. Ugh. None of this plays well with the outrageous abilities and killstreaks. Still hoping for a barebones mode, the gunplay is actually pretty good in this game.

And hardcore is such a joke. If you guys haven't tried the acoustic sensor yet, you should. It negates dead silence, completely OP on hardcore.
 
We pulled off 1 Duo win and 3 Quad wins yesterday. Good times.

Nice update hitting soon. Waiting on the patch notes, apparently we’re getting a new operator and new guns for regular MP, changes to the Blackout map in a few areas, Highjacked added to the map, holiday theme to the map, and an armored truck with mounted gun on top.
 
Just picked this up for $30 at Best Buy. Couldn't pass that deal up. Only played the tutorial a bit and one blackout game. I had no clue what I was doing but finished #6! I have to admit, I'm hooked. Probably would have done better had I actually had a clue :)

I didn't think the faster pace COD would work for battle royale, but it is very fun. Not sure if I'll get into other modes, but I for sure will get my money's worth out of it just for BR.

Love Blackout, but being able to repair level 3 armor is pretty much a broken system right now. You can go the whole game with it and are a walking tank.

When I see them with lvl 3 armor I just aim for the head. It is tough if they’re at a big distance away seems like they never want to go down.

The ABR is still a beast it is my go to weapon.
 
I only played one game, but the healing/armor repair did seem a little excessive. I was a little surprised how long the time to kill is in this (even in matches with bots). I may just have ttk on the brain though with the whole BF V drama though.

I think level 3 armor removes the headshot bonus.

Honestly don't like the repair system. Armor lasting longer is enough imo, much like PUBG. Repairs are too much, and level 3 as a whole is too much.

I thought the armor system was fine before this new update. It didn’t feel OP like it did around release and you still had some protection.
 
It does seem odd how easy it is to find armor and health all over. I guess they really want people to be able to fight and get back to 100%. It does seem to take forever to take people down sometimes.
 
What it comes down to is someone with level 3 armor plus a good gun plus a good firing position is tough to beat. One guy was just sitting on a roof from a good spot and there wasn't much I could do.

I'm still having a blast though. It is a lot like PUBG but different enough as well. A little patience goes a long way though as people seem really aggressive. I just jump off to someplace less populated and usually at least make it to the top 20 easily.

Yeah, its a shame Treyarch listened to the vocal Reddit crowd on this issue. Too many people want running and gunning to be the meta in a BR mode, personally prefer a balance where you need to be smart and pick your fights. It's half the fun, imo.

Hopefully these upcoming changes strike a good balance. Enjoyable either way, but I miss breakable armor and how it would play out in an engagement.

Also hate to say it, but regular MP has definitely grown on me. Was playing solo whenever buddies weren't online and recently with Tok and Doug/Thug. Seem to have found my groove. Still think it would be better without specialists and killstteaks
 
Anyone else had Blackout freezing a lot since the last update? Tonight it has happened to me and everyone else I’ve played with tonight at least once throughout the night. It seems to happen towards the end of matches. Very frustrating.

For me, yes. As a BR fan too, it puts its own spin on that mode as well. While it isn't groundbreaking in doing BR, little differences make the game play differently enough to be a fun alternative to other BR games.

It is still COD, but it is BR. Gun battles are important, but it still has the hiding/camping aspect of BR.

The armor aspect to it is what makes it different from other BR and other COD games. Time to kill can actually be really long with armor, and you can repair armor. You can actually get some almost comically long firefights which is very different from usual COD.

Yes and it's enraging. Only the people with One X's in my squad have had the problem.
 
I just seem to be losing every 1 on 1 fight now. Even when I get the drop on someone, I get a ton of hit markers but then I die (I did kill one person at the exact same time I died once). Still fun though. It is just frustrating to see people first and have patience and still just have them take me out.

FWIW I haven't had any freezes so far.
 
I don't know how to play this game. People insta-head shot me with any gun. I put an entire clip and don't do any damage. Not even people wearing level 3 armor.

It just seems so inconsistent. I get that people can heal and repair if they can get to cover, but just people in the open in a quick fight.

I go into fights I think I can win easily and die, and same goes for fights against level 3 armor. People from what seems like a crazy long range 2 shot me with SMGs. Yet one time I took down a level 3 armor guy with an SMG and he didn't even damage me.

Another time I just land and someone is right there in the next building. I only get an SMG but I wait. They peek in the window and I headshot them. Nothing. The only part of them I can even see is the head. They just run in and frag me.

I've been trying to slow down my shots a bit and go for quality aim over quantity, but people just seem to take me down so quickly.

Maybe I need to play the regular game a little and learn the guns. I thought I had a good handle on what is good and what isn't.

Still fun but it just feels off. It is like people have way more lag on their side than me.
 
I do have questionable moments from time to time happen to me and sometimes it does feel like it’s lag or we don’t have the same connection.

Some people just have godly aim especially with sniper rifles at huge distances while I’m moving. I don’t get how they pull those shots off sometimes.

I’m tired of Blackout freezing it’s happening multiple times every night now. F this!

Edit: the game I just froze on during the end my buddy got the win. I got nothing!

FWIW I haven't had any freezing. I have only played solo so that might matter too.

I'm enjoying the game more. I think they need to do something with the armor though. I'd love to see the % of people that win without level 3 armor. The game almost forces you to have it. I finished 2nd but just got outgunned at the end. I even got the drop on someone but couldn't take them out in max armor. In PUBG, dropping in the heavy areas gives you a big boost, but it isn't impossible to win without jumping in the busy areas.
 
Not to toot my own horn, but I basically said this during the beta. I've been batting 1000 here with my predictions lately. Here we are not even two months from launch...
