Call Of Duty: WWII

Show more than just an SP trailer. No one cares about SP in a COD game. No one. Not you, or you. Or you. Shut up.

Looking forward to seeing the single player.
I just want a campaign that represents soldiers who didn't ask to be in the war. They were just regular men (sons, fathers, husbands) who were involuntarily thrust into it. Surrounded by men of the same background who just want to go home but are forced to see the horror of war.

Of interest is this section...

It's time for a current gen Normandy invasion. I'll never forget the one's from MOH Frontline and Allied Assault.

Maybe DLC to play as Upham from Saving Private Ryan. You can stand by and watch your team die in front of you while you cower like a bitch.

I'll settle for it just being in the campaign. An HD D-Day landing? Oh man.
Now that I think of it, a pure beach storming MP map wouldn't make sense as it's a very us vs. them layout.

But having a map like this in a phased mode like BF1's Operations make sense where one team sticks to one task.

Call Of Duty: WWII' Announced, Livestream Coming April 26
For now, all we have is the game’s main website, which shows the face of a soldier. Next to him is a countdown clock which ends on April 26 at 10am PT. On that day, Sledgehammer Games, the studio in charge of making the new game, will present additional details on the upcoming title, including a reveal trailer.

They managed to keep that under wraps! So excited when theres a reveal for the reveal about a game that's been largely leaked already!

PR genius!

Ten seconds of explosions and yelling. End. That's our reveal! See you at E3!
Which one will it be......

1. CGI trailer
2. In-game engine trailer (montage of up close fire fights)
3. Actual gameplay (SP campaign and/or MP)

Battlefield 1942 had an Omaha Beach map and it was a total joke. The allies would sit on the beach sniping up at the defenses and never move.

Ah fuk. Forgot about that in gamers.

The saving grace is that BF gamers seem to be a lot more sniper happy than CoD, whose maps and gameplay over the years are less sniper friendly. So CoD gamers have transitioned to more run and gun. The last CoD games which had snipers as a noticeable amount of gamers was probably the last gen era of CoD 4, WaW, MW 2. And maybe BO 1. MW 3 and onward, snipers became fewer and fewer.

Greatest Call of Duty song was from CoD 1 Pegasus Bridge mission. Also the mission that felt the most realistic to me in terms of what the soldiers went through. Defending the bridge and completely outnumbered by endless Germans coming at you, running out of ammo, etc. If they can capture that sort of emotion in another Call of Duty game then I will be there day one. Teared up playing this mission.

RTCW has a Omaha Beach level but it was an Objective level where the Allies HAD to breach the wall and get into the complex to steal some war documents. Couldn't just sit on the beach and snipe the whole time as you would lose.

Oh, the campers on the beach all lost :) BF1942 had that sort of mini-rush game mode where the attacker had to get some flags.

That game was great back then. I remember that map.

Blops 2 had some of the best snipers and quick scopers in the series . The dsr was brutal . Probably one of the best sniper rifles in the series . Couldn't tell you how many in mVPs I got using the DSR playing aggressive recon. Talk about pissing people off and making them rage quit. Lol
