Good idea, this wasn't going to be a good year for that show AND maybe they'll have a show in the Spring to announce the PS5 :)

"We won't have it in the States this year," he continued. "The reasons behind that really are we don't have...we have a lot of progress that we're making on our games...Now that we have Spider-Man out the door, we're looking down into 2019 games like Dreams and Days Gone.

"But we wouldn't have enough to bring people all together in some location North America to have that event. We don't want to set expectations really high and then not deliver on that. It was a hard decision, but we have determined that this year we will not hold PlayStation Experience.

Layden attributed PlayStation's increased use of the PlayStation Blog and social media to convey announcements.

Sounds good. No real need.

Guess they're running out of games for this gen. Hopefully they support the PS5 better than the previous 3 consoles at launch.

There is no need to put out a blockbuster at launch, the hardcore fans will buy it then anyway and putting out a game that cost a fortune to make with only a small user base out there to buy it doesn't make sense. I think they'll do patched upgrades to current PS4 games and that'll give them an artificially inflated looking launch window line up. Of course I'm assuming it'll be fully BC with PS4 games otherwise that upgrade idea would be out the window lol.

Is this the show where they had people walking to different buildings?

That was E3 lol, PSX last year was dull as well though because they already showed too much at Paris Games Week just a short time before.
