I can speak for the Samsung KS9800, it rocks and the reviews are off the chart good all around. Right at $3,000 right now.

One thing I've found looking at these new TVs... why the hell are the stands so short? My center channel is like 5 inches tall so at least based on measurements of TV height with/without stand there's no way the speaker will work in front of the TV like it does my plasma.

I'm not sure of their design thoughts but my Samsung soundbar nestles in like a glove between the stand and TV. Maybe they figure soundbars are the go-to method of audio for most common folks? I do have a Onkyo 7.1 in my mancave and went the route of a 2-tiered TV stand to house the center channel, receiver, and assorted systems on the lower level.
