Jez Corden from Windows Central yesterday tweeted he was gonna go check a game that we hadn't heard about from for a long time. Later it was said to be Crackdown. Lucky bastard.

I have a feeling this game could surprise a lot of people come Sunday.

This HAS to be the year. It's been looooooong enough, plus the developers has been teasing it on twitter quite a bit and confirmed the release date for this year as well. Has to!

Better be. Or you can change the name to Letdown 3 for me. Won't be as impressive if it releases when there's new consoles coming. Crackdown 3 was so promising years ago. Now it's just dragging on. Still pumped for the game though.

I would rather get it when it's ready. The Last Guardian took like 8 decades but it was worth the wait.

I hope we get Crackdown 2 as a GwG. I never got around to playing. Crackdown 1 was one of my all time favorite games on 360.

According to the developer interview at ign they only showed footage from the single player part. The multiplayer part with huge building destructions will be showed later.

Really hope they delay this game. If they try to get it out by 2017, it'll be in the bargain bin in a few months. Nothing about yesterday's trailer screamed next gen AAA polish. The characters were missing animations. If they were taking the exact same game engine from Crackdown 1 and upped the resolution to 4K, I wouldn't know the difference. For the single player, there was no signs of evolution at all. Game went from most anticipated to a pass yesterday.

If they delay it, they won't have any major console release games. Half the video being Terry Crews doesn't bode well either.

If there only major console release is mediocre to crap, does that make it any better? Saw some single player videos on another site. It looks low budget. I don't get it. Maybe the team working on the single player campaign is small.

Just give me Crackdown 1 and 2 and uplift the visuals. I don't know what to say or think about Crackdown 3. Where's the narrator? I'm pretty dismayed and only marginally hopeful this is going to turn out right.

They did say the Voice of the Agency will return. The trailer showed at E3 wasn't the best to showcase the return of this franchise. It should of started with the narrator and then cut to some single player action like taking down a crime boss. For my own sake if they had included at least one transformable vehicle I would have been happy. We just have to wait for more gameplay vids to pop up. But from how the devs were going on about how excited they were to show C3 I'm a bit confused about how that trailer shown was the best footage they could show for this unveiling.

The IGN interview said he's back.

The handful of short gameplay videos I just watched has me re-interested in the game.

It looks like Crackdown 1 goodness, but starting to look like a lot of people are too hyped for this and was expecting something groundbreaking. I'm fine with a game that has a CD1 feel that is fun as hell to play.

That looks so much better than the E3 trailer. Looks just like Crackdown at a higher resolution, more detail, far superior lighting, etc. Looks great and like the guy says in the video, this isn't the kind of game that showcases graphics in a screenshot. It is the amount of stuff going on.

Sumo Digital is capable. They've done LBP3, the Sonic Racing games and Dead Island 2.

Who knows what's going on over there?

Agreed!
