I genuinely hope this title comes out swinging for the fences. I think it will but, I also think there are those just aching to pounce on it. However, if the MP can deliver on it's destruction it'll be a tough feature to deny and be its saving grace. I think it'll simply just be a great game though.

Agreed. I’m hoping the playable demo at X018 will be available to the public via Live at some point.

C’mon Phil, make it happen.

Now that we know that CD3 will be there, I'm guessing they feel pretty confident that it will. Now, if you round this up with talks of three more studio acquisitions and the rest of the announcements lined up for X0, then I think we got ourselves a great event coming up! I'm excite...

I'm hoping it's good, as I've said before I loved the first game. I really don't think an MP component was needed for this series though, co-op would have been just fine if they added anything but all that hype about the destruction and cloud stuff was just going to raise expectations beyond what they needed to be IMO. All they needed to do was refine the gameplay from the first one a bit, make the melee combat a bit deeper than just a spin kick and the same throwing animation for anything you picked up and it would have been fine. What they showed before wasn't very impressive but the latest E3 trailer looked a lot better, it was a lot more colorful which addressed one of my biggest complaints about the gameplay debut the year before.

I read comments on the twitter....some said they are not happy with 1000 orbs. Said it’s too many.

Can never f***ing win.

Not much reason to have high expectation but it could turn out to be a solid game.

It will be fun but quickly forgotten. As it stood, i think most were looking forward to the multiplayer destruction and even that would get old eventually just like everything else. Still looking forward to it though.

Always! It seems excessive but when I replayed CD 1 recently they add up fast.

Plus it’s not like getting all 1000 are necessary, right? I’m sure there will be an achievement for getting them all, but I’m assuming maxing out the character doesn’t require them all

I just want to see SOMETHING new. I hope they blow it out in a big way at X018.

Jez’s X018 article from today reinforces this too:

‘X0 will be the last real opportunity for Microsoft to showcase Crackdown 3 on a grander stage, particularly when you consider it's going up against both Metro Exodus and Anthem, launching in the same month. Everything we've heard about the game in the past year has been largely positive, detailing expanded features, smoother gameplay, and yes, the inclusion of the promised cloud-powered destruction. Expect to get an idea of what the finished version of Crackdown 3 will look like at X018.’

That's facts. When's the last time you thought about The Last Guardian? Exactly.

Games that go through multiple delays that weren't expected to set the world on fire to begin with get forgotten quickly. And let's not even act like Crackdown is a franchise on the level of or has a developer with the talent of SIE Japan Studio. TLG got released because Ico/Shadow of Colossus were amazing, and they persevered despite delay after delay. Crackdown doesn't have that same backing. Let's wait and see if it even really releases before you call me out for having concerns about the game.

And before you play victim like usual and say why are you bringing up PS4 games in an Xbox thread.. it's called an example. Next time try arguing your stance instead of just claiming trolling and then trolling in return.

By the time CD3 releases, if it even does, we'll be onto next gen or close to it. Absolutely nobody will be talking about the game after a few months of its release. Sorry my opinions hurt you that much.

Then again, you don't even seem to care about the Crackdown franchise with your measly 4 achievements in the first game. I on the other hand played through the entire first game, spending hours looking for orbs and enjoyed my myself. Spent a bit of time with Crackdown 2 but it was as step back.

So who's baiting who here?

I'm sure somewhere in that acorn you call a brain, inhabited by all those quirky personalities, this post made sense to you. Good for you. At least it made sense to somebody.
