Shows a bit more gameplay. Can't wait for this!

It reminds me of an up-tempo No Diggidy.

The gameplay looks hard! Like, throwing-the-controller-at-the-screen hard!

The designs are amazing though. But I think I'd trust the devil before I'd trust a talking cup. Ive seen Beauty and the Beast, and you can't trust crockery.

After E3 2015, StudioMDHR was ready to fully commit to its initial “dream scope” for the game. “We realized that there were a lot of people out there that wanted what we were doing,” says Chad. “My brother and I quit our jobs, remortgaged our houses and began expanding the team. This was our chance to actually deliver the game we wanted to make all along, rather than the cut-scope game we originally planned with a three person team.” It’s a gamble that could easily have backfired on the brothers. Hello Games and its overly ambitious No Man’s Sky is a prime example of a studio throwing everything they have at the game and, for the most part, failing to meet expectations. Tellingly, Hello Games has been incredibly quiet ever since, kept firmly out of the spotlight by Sony.

Once the decision was made to expand the scope, Chad and Jared quickly started to expand the development team, as it would’ve been impossible to successfully create a larger version of Cuphead with just three people. Now, StudioMDHR employs 20 people (including Chad and Jared). This is everyone from animators and designers, to a hand-lettering artist and digital painters.

Chad Moldenhauer
Chad expands on this: “The bulk of the engine work was already in place from building the core Cuphead controls and stage setup for the bosses. Evolving from there to fully scrolling levels was just the next step.”

Though Chad and Jared knew exactly what was required of the team to craft levels, it didn’t make the job any easier. After all, the most difficult part about developing Cuphead is nailing its art style.

I am excited for this game. And not only that, but I want it to be extremely successful. My question is, how successful can it be on just say 35 million consoles and Windows Store on PC? Maybe this would be a good idea to have as timed exclusive and allow this team to spread their wings onto the PS4 which is so saturated in the market.

Sure Xbox (and PS) need exclusives, but games like this with that type of dedication, deserve monster sales.

Cuphead will always be an Xbox console exclusive.

Cuphead is one of the most anticipated indie titles this year by the developers StudioMDHR. A Developer behind Cuphead by the name “Teeth” on NeoGAF has confirmed their title will remain an Xbox One and PC exclusive. Here’s what he said:

“Yes, this Cuphead game is exclusive to Xbox and PC (with Steam and Win10 versions at launch and a GoG release likely shortly after) “There will likely be a Mac version down the road and possibly a Linux version beyond that (unless we lose our houses or whatever).

In a similar Cuphead news, StudioMDHR founders quit their jobs, remortgaged houses to work on Cuphead and they also revealed this project was originally worked by three people on weekends. In an interview with GamesRadar, studio founders initially began the project as a hobby but later on dedicated their full time after impressing many fans when Cuphead was revealed.

Chad Moldenhauer[StudioMDHR Founder] said – “The truth is that we started Cuphead as a three-person team, just working on the weekend (…) “With such a small team, we knew to keep our scope small – there were just a few bosses and a couple of weapons and everything was just less insane. We demoed Cuphead at E3 2015 and the response was mind-blowing.” He further says “We realized that there were a lot of people out there that wanted what we were doing. My brother and I quit our jobs, remortgaged our houses and began expanding the team. This was our chance to actually deliver the game we wanted to make all along, rather than the cut-scope game we originally planned with a three person team.”

I'd actually love to see an arcade cabinet version of this game! Who wouldn't pump quarters into this?

I have a feeling that Microsoft will buy the franchise.
Me too, but only if it really sells, imo.

Microsoft of today doesn't dabble much in what-iffs. They didn't make a bid for Minecraft until they saw that it wasn't going to hit it's apex for a while, even though it cost them a whole lot more to wait that long. I'm guessing we may hear something about this within the first month, if the game actually sells.

I got a nice arcade stick for my shmups and 2D sidescroller shooters; as long as this isn't a dual-analog game, I intend to use it with this game. A full arcade set-up would be amazing though.

I'm glad they aren't doing it, online co-op would only increase development times and this will be more of a SP experience for me.
As long as they make it optional, it shouldn't impact anyone's single player experience. Post launch that is.

Honestly, I'd probably pay $10 even if it was 0 player.

The game is just amazing to watch. I'd put it on the tv to play in the background at a party.

The design has that "it" factor which at the moment.

I used to think Upton was hotter. She has fantastic t*ts, but after those naked cell phone photos leaked a couple years back, her stock definitely tanked.

Makeup artists and photogs are wizards with how much better they can make someone look.

She doesn't have curves from chest down.

EXACTLY!

I've been saying this to people for the longest time. She's like a rectangle with boobs and a cute face.

Also this is just tragic. Put a picture of it on a carton of milk.

Bad angle. She has no ass, but it's a bad angle. She's not "fat" as that link claimed. Not even close.
