The PC build was matched with XSX cpu speeds and GPU speeds of the PS5 , and it outperformed the XSX. They also matched the DRS boundary apparently and PC still came out ahead. Perhaps the XS versions are just not as optimized.
They also said lowering the boundary would likely help.

Short story is that they're basically identical in Quality Mode. In Performance Mode they are very close for most benchmarks, but for the night time action sequence the PS5 drops only about .7% of frames while the Series X drops 8.2% of frames. He thinks this is largely to the PS5 having a lower resolution boundary than the Series X.
Nope, PS5 “mops the floor” with XB… Dried loves his troll news.

Possibly. Also id software dev already told us XS consoles have access to VRS (which this tests showed cyberpunk also seems to have ) which can bump up performance/resolution however at the cost of IQ note remember the smearing bit with doom comparison..

They did a really great job with Phantom Liberty's story. I liked the original story (or at least I thought I did) and they managed to improve upon the story even further with Phantom Liberty. That's a great bar to be set for a potential sequel.

It is hard to justify coming back to any game after 3 years, with the huge backlog that most people have either from game pass or steam sales, but I think it's worth jumping back into.

Briefly looking at the Cyberpunk lore, I was quite surprised at how little CDProjekt red changed from the original source material. CDProjekt Red hasn't really done any world building of their own and have relied heavily on pre-established lore in all their games.

Phantom Liberty made me appreciate the lore more, much more than the main game.

I would say that after playing through Phantom Liberty that you can't really trust the consensus online in terms of what choices to make.

The consensus online was to side with the Voodoo Boys in the main story, but Phantom Liberty makes it clear that siding with Net Watch is really the only decent choice to be made. It's ridiculous that so many people were saying otherwise. The Voodoo Boys aren't too much better than the Scavs, with their extortion racket in Phantom Liberty. Maybe there were signs that I missed in the main game, but it's much more clear in the expansion.

The game does a good job of not punishing the player too harshly for the end game choices they make, but that makes the decisions that much tougher as the lines are somewhat blurred.

Siding with Reed, things turn out pretty much like how So Mi said it would with Reed telling you that she was too for gone for the Neural Matrix to work and (2 years later) that he was shut out of further updates. Even if you send So MI to the moon it's safe to assume that the blackwall ai took over and that you are essentially just giving Night Corp a WMD that the NUSA developed.

The one thing that makes sending So Mi to the moon a compelling option is that Reed goes out of his way to lie to you about wanting to help So Mi "escape". That made me wonder if helping So Mi get to the moon wasn't the best option, but that story path wasn't as fleshed out as "Somewhat Changed" making the choice somewhat easier.

If I was given more indication that So Mi was alive and well after the Killing Moon, I would have felt better about sticking with that ending, but everything else points to her being too far gone to save.

Reddit commentors and Youtubers try to frame the ending where V gets the cure in Phantom Liberty as a good ending, when it's clear based on the dialogue, that both V and Reed see it as a botched procedure and that there isn't much hope for V if she returns to night city, they often leave that part out.

If you choose to side with Reed and let So Mi die like she wanted Reed sort of confirms that this was probably the best ending. He actually tells you "you were right" in the dialogue. It seemed like a backhanded admission at first, but seeing the message he leaves at the end of the main story it looks like he was indeed grateful and is at peace no longer being with the NUSA. The anguish he had on his face earlier is gone and he looks relaxed now. If you compare that to the ending you get when you saved So Mi it really is a no brainer for me.

It's clear going back and forth between some of the late game choices that Idris Elba took the role seriously. Based on your choices you can see the anguish or relief in the character when you are talking to him, in both his voice and the expressions of the character.

The combat and leveling system were everything that I was hoping they would be when I first decided to get back into the game. I chose to go with the Chrome Compressor instead of an OS and it has been worth it so far as I've hit my cyberware limits and the new endgame cyberware is well worth it in terms of stats.

I'm loving the game now with the DLC. I completely started over and am enjoying going through all the side stuff.

My first playthrough was with patch 1.5 which fixed a lot, but 2.0 really is where the game should have been. I made a simple run and gun character for now. In the future I plan to try out a netrunner build for a different playstyle.

However it got here, it is definitely now one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely one of the better open world games out there. I can definitely see myself regularly coming back to this until GTA6 launches.

I agree. I definitely came in as a skeptic, but they did a great job with Phantom Liberty. I like how they suggested starting over and then doing Phantom Liberty in the middle of a playthrough. It sets a great tone for the rest of the game.

I also favored a net runner build, but I heard they nerfed those builds so I went with a gunner build instead. Now that I understand the new mechanics of the game I'll probably resurrect my net runner build at some point just to see how he stacks up after the changes.

I played the first 5 hours with a trial on PS+ premium and ended up buying it for $29.99

I do wish it was in 3rd person lol but the city is pretty cool and the graphics are great.

I always felt the game was just fine. Nothing spectacular. I pretty much maxed level mid-way through the game, before the big patch.

The biggest complaint for me was the story...especially the ending. I hated it. Watched the credits roll angrily.

Oh no, I didn’t know it had a crappy ending! I got distracted halfway through and have been thinking of going back to it, now I’m second guessing haha.

I didn't like it. Don't let deter you from completing it if you were interested.

I don't remember what my final verdict was for this game... but I think I liked it more than most here at release? Playing it today, and it's a solid 7.5/10. A 10/10 for ambition, but ambition doesn't necessarily make great games.
The world looks spectacular though, if they just put more into it (less unopenable doors, more shops, more variety in sidequests and npc's etc) it would've felt much less barren.
