Wonder what game was under development. Probably another car battle game.

Well, we know it wasn't a Twisted Metal game, since Sony owns that IP. It might have been something similar, though -- although if I were them, I'd want to go in a different direction.

Nobody likes Jaffe anyway. He got what he deserved because he's a Sony dev!

-sad people on the internet.

What happened to his last game? Can't remember the game but it looked like something out of a kid's notebook drawings.

Last good thing Jaffe did was the OG God of War wasn't it?

Everything I've read suggests the multiplayer in Twisted Metal PS3 was a hidden gem that never caught on for various reasons. Jaffe seems particularly proud of that portion of the game in this video.

I never played that twisted metal, last one I ever played was black, but I was never a huge fan of any of them anyway. At any rate, I haven't paid him or his works much mind since he left SSM...

Car battles games were passe 15 years ago (at least). I had TM: Black too. Great visuals, 60 fps, but terrible gameplay as every AI just makes a bee-line for you.

Vigilante 8, TM and such have such brain-dead AI, it becomes predictable and more like a chore to play.

Interestingly, Rocket League has been a huge success. Not the same kind of car battling game though. So it shows people still love cars and competing. And with human teammates makes it better. But the twist with RL has been a huge draw. On the other hand car battle games and racers in general have had toned down interest for a few generations.

Funny thing is, the dev actually had an older game just like RL, but nobody cared. But RL took off like crazy.

Call me crazy, but maybe he shouldn't use numbers to replace words and refrain from using the word "ya'll" when referring to canceled projects and firing people.

That said, I'd like a car game about boxing.
