On top of the half dozen or so free/free to play games at launch.
So good.
 
The $10 on the PlayStation store surprises me a bit. The bonuses are nice but if you asked me a month ago i thought both the X1 and PS4 would be giving us a free 6 months of their online service.

Nope, it says new subscribers only. Personally, I'm a little sad they are not rewarding existing PS+ members with anything.

Are you or have you ever been a Gamestop employee? And, no I don't want to pre-order Watch Dogs.
 
It's not desparation, it's Sony trying very hard to reach the 5 million sales-target by March 30th - it will reflect badly on Kaz Hirai amongst investors if they miss that (quite lofty) goal - and it will reflect good on him if they make it.
Promotions like this is smart - Sony isn't giving away 10 dollar they will never see again - it's 10$ that they know you will spend in their store, some money goes to developers and publishers in the end, but they probably figure it might even make them some money - since lot's of people will probably spend more than the 10$ once they are in the PSN store seeing all the fun stuff they can get. :)
