Can anyone tell me what they see in this game that looks "awesome"? I just...don't see it at all. It looks so bland to me.

Not a fan of Motorcycles...? the fact that you can upgrade it and all adds something different to this type of game...and yeah, the hordes of Zombies where you have to run away while placing traps/bombs etc looks tense...the main guy looks a little bland though, maybe the story will help if it gives him personality or something lol...

I'm really only a fan of mechanics. If there's a vehicle in a game I don't care what it looks like I only care about it's impact on gameplay. How does it change my experience? What different ways can I use it? I guess the horde mechanic stands out a little bit but everything else about the game looks to bland to me. There's no new or interesting hook that excites me at all, like there is in a game like Scavengers for example.

The most interesting thing about the main character so far is how utterly horrible his name is. Deacon St. John? Really? hahaha, man that's bad.

Haven't really watched anything on this game and it's on the backburner. Maybe a week or two out for launch I'll start to get excited for it.

I think Sony said these are NOT zombies. They are FREAKERS, mmmkay?

Freakers, walkers, Z's, biters, creepers, geeks, roamers, crawlers, freaks, dragers, infected, grabbers, meat bags, hedons, different names same thing.

Well damn! I made the credits! I love you Swede!

I disagree. There are many differences to Freakers and Zombies. Freakers are alive. They need food sleep and water.

I used to be interested, but my interest has waned. We'll see if it returns by late April. At this point, I'm just not feeling like playing a grim open-world game about attacking and/or running from zombies. I just can't get excited about that. The only thing that still has me tuned in is the fact that it's from the guys who did Syphon Filter, so I've got some hope that the fun factor is there underneath.

So... they are living zombies.

Zombies are dead corpse. Living Zombies don't exist. lol

Gamers who played Days Gone are pretty excited. I believe they showed too much and people lost interest. But there's a lot people don't know about Days Gone they assume it's "another zombie game" and move on to something else. Because they are Freakers and not Zombies it will change the gameplay in different areas. The game has really unique mechanics that will set apart. The character itself is more in depth than I expected. My only concern is frame rate.

Yeah, they've shown quite a lot, a by product of revealing the game way too early. Was it e3 2016 when they revealed it? And they have to show things a couple times a year after that just to keep people aware of it, and so then when you have 2+ years of reminding people you exist, by the time the game is near out you've shown far more than they should've.... I'm still pretty keen on the game, so unless it's unearthed that the game has some major issues I'll be checking it out... I've followed it but not intensely so like I do some games, so there is still some mystery to it for me...

I've been following the game for a while, so I know there's more to it than "just another zombie game." Still, it's hard to escape the feeling that it's not all that interesting or innovative. The story may raise it up, although I don't know how strong their storytelling chops are. Syphon Filter wasn't exactly Hamlet.

I'm hoping it turns out to be engaging and enjoyable. It could be. I'm not crossing it off my list entirely, just expressing that my enthusiasm has waned. Like I said, that is probably a reflection of where I'm at psychologically with regard to gaming in general, rather than a reflection on the game itself.

Deacon St John, that's a name worthy of a Shakespeare play no doubt.

Previews coming on the 6th March. Apparently people played a 3 hour demo and initial impressions are positive from insiders.
