The budget is supposed to be quite low. I wonder if Reynolds is getting points on the package?

Aside from that he kind of needs something. His last big project was Green Lantern, right?

Yea, the low budget is one of the reasons they got the R rating. Less financial risk involved.

Reynold's last big project was probably.... RIPD? He could definitely use a winner.

Reynolds has been attached to this project since like forever. X-Men Origins Wolverine came out and there was a plan for Deadpool film, and that's when Reynolds was first attached, a plan which never ever changed. And yes he was Deadpool in that film, though he was not THIS Deadpool there.

Whatever, looks great. Better than run-of-the-mill Marvel studios films.

It's weird, at the time it seemed like everyone thought Reynolds brief cameo in that film was the only good thing in it, but as the years went by people started to think he was horrible pick for Deadpooll. The trailer for the film comes out and now it seems everyone is once again thinking he is perfect for the roll. It's a strange world.

I know he already was Deadpool and that he's been attached to this for a while, but he's been a big cheerleader and pushing to get it made when it was in limbo. So I wondered if he volunteered not take a big check up front and settle for a percentage.
It wouldn't have been a terrible move - it's a role many people have said he's perfect for, he hasn't been winning over audiences with his recent films and he's probably hurting for appreciation more than he's hurting for cash.

long time fan of DP I have this bad boy on my stereo tower cabinet

Only at the start. The Deadpool we see at the end of the film is not him but some stuntman as Reynolds schedule meant he couldn't come back which is whey they ended up taking Pools mouth away.

Deadpool is the best "new" superhero in a world where we have been filled with rehashes of all the ones I grew up with ages ago. I'm really excited to go see this next weekend.

great movie, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I'll most certainly get the bluray when it comes out, which is a testament to how much I liked it as I haven't bought an english speaking movie in a few years.

It's awesome. I didn't really think about it going in, but it was so refreshing to watch an R-rated Marvel-based film. I really hope they do an R-rated X-Force film now, that'd be my wet dream as far as X-Men films go.

Got to see this.

Making me wish Suicide Squad was R rated.

Packed house last night, I loved it from start to finish. 95/100.
