You're s***. Just absolutely s***. Completely and utterly useless. I want to reach through my lan connection and punch every single one of you in the throat. Is it really that hard to understand your purpose riding support gunner in attack heliis and tanks.
Well since most of you are too god damned stupid to figure it out on your own I'll have to explain it to you.
The purpose of the attack heli is to hunt and destroy armoured tanks. If your pilot is making a run at a tank his missles alone will not be able to destroy it in one salvo. Your purpose is to wait for these attacking opportunities and also fire on said tank.
If you've got your barrels pointed behind or directly to the side of the heli, firing away at some sniper half a mile away and out in the middle of no where posing no real threat to anyone, its not doing much good is it? Don't be firing at every f***ing thing that moves. You will draw unnecessary attention to the helicopter and you greatly increase your chance of being shot down. You've now also alerted everyone to your position and have now been spotted a dozen times making the armoured vehicles aware that your pilot was maneuvering to attack them. Keep your barrels pointed within 45 degrees of the nose and save your rounds for tank hunting. Once tanks have been destroyed feel free to pick off the odd infantry.
Tank gunners, also some of the biggest morons to haunt the servers of Battlefield. Firstly if you're anything other than a repair torch carrying engineer, you have no business getting into a tank in the first place. Your purpose in two fold, one to act as an extra set of eyes and assist in eliminating the most immediate threat to the big metal machine in which you're riding. Anti-tank engineers obviously being the first, C4 carrying snipers in close proximity the second. If your driver is engaged in an exchange of fire with an opposing tank DO NOT SIT AND FIRE YOUR MACHINE GUN AT HIM, it will do absolutely nothing and the enemy tanker will sit and laugh at your STUPIDITY. Swivel you barrel around to the side of the tank opposite of the direction you are taking fire from. Exit the tank, crouch down and begin repairing your tank. The tank will act as a barrier between you and the opposing tank. It will keep you safe.
Also spotting is another duty to be expected of vehicle gunners. Even if playing hardcore spotting still has its purpose. When you spot the game will give audio clues as to the general whereabouts of the enemy you are spotting. They will also show up on the large map seen in deployment screen. This is very helpful to your team.
If you RANDOM GUY choose to ignore the advice I've given you and continue to play in the same selfish, unhelpful and idiotic way in which you've been playing, I wish you nothing but ill will, and hope you are someday gang raped by a pack of drunken hillbillies.
