I honestly think its ass as does most of the PC gaming community.
Downloading KI and gears 4 was a cumbersome slow experience.
Lets not post the COD IW debacle as its a more relative comparison.
COD IW isn't cross platform. The UWP experience has dramatically improved since the advent of them adding AAA games. I have had zero issues with UWP games nor Steam games.

Most of us PC gamers will take a larger community over a smaller community. We will also take better game performance over lesser game performance.

That was never my point...:txbcool:
What I am saying is if they release on Steam and Windows 10 store it will be a mess.
No most PC gamers by far Steam>>>>>W10 store

Well Steam > UWP/Windows Store no doubt. But given the choice, so long as MS made UWP perform as good as Steam in future updates, and I get Play Anywhere with cross platform play, I would take the UWP version over the Steam version. 2 for the price of one.

Highly Doubtful UWP is happening with big games like Destiny 2
The only reason I could think of as to why they wouldn't (since the Xbox game and PC game for UWP are one in the same) is because they (Activision) want to force people to pony up for the PC version and not have a chance to play the game on 2 devices for the same price. $$$

DESTINY 2 ANNOUNCED: BLOCKBUSTER SEQUEL TO THE BIGGEST NEW CONSOLE VIDEO GAME FRANCHISE LAUNCH OF ALL-TIME SET FOR SEPTEMBER 8
Mar 30, 2017

Gameplay World Premiere Set for May 18

Pre-Order for Early Access to Upcoming Destiny 2 Beta†

First-Person Action Game Welcomes PC Players to the Destiny Universe

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Bungie and Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), announced Destiny 2, the sequel to the internationally acclaimed Destiny, a first-person action game that takes the player on an epic journey to defend humanity from annihilation. The official Destiny 2 reveal trailer, "Rally the Troops," debuted a character-driven glimpse at Destiny 2's story today. Additionally, the first hands-on gameplay reveal livestream will be broadcast around the world on May 18. The broadcast will showcase a variety of fun, action-oriented activities within Destiny 2, and will highlight the brand-new, epic adventure waiting for players. With a fresh start for all players right from the opening cinematic, Destiny 2 will expand across the globe with a worldwide release on September 8. Destiny 2 will be available on PlayStation®4 systems with additional, timed exclusive* content, Xbox One (PlayStation®Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription, respectively, required for significant features), and for the first time in Destiny's history, a new platform to enjoy this universe will be offered. Destiny 2 is coming to PC!

"Destiny was the biggest launch of a new console video game franchise ever. Along with our incredibly talented partners at Bungie, we are focusing on making Destiny 2 even better, with state of the art first person action, an awesome new story, great characters, and thoughtful innovations that make the game more accessible to all different kinds of players," said Activision CEO, Eric Hirshberg. "We're also bringing Destiny 2 to the PC platform for the first time. Destiny 2 will make an already great game franchise better than ever."

Bungie CEO, Pete Parsons, said, "The past three years have been incredibly inspiring and rewarding for Bungie. To know that millions of players around the world have forged lasting Destiny memories and even made it their hobby is truly humbling and we can't wait to continue the journey." He added, "We are looking forward to sharing a fresh, inviting story, and with the upcoming Destiny 2 Beta slated for this summer, we are eager to get feedback from millions of players around the world who will get a glimpse of the new adventures that will unfold for all of us. Together, with our partners at Activision, we are thrilled to get Destiny 2 in the hands of players in September."

In Destiny 2, the last safe city on Earth has fallen and lay in ruins, occupied by a powerful new enemy and his elite army, the Red Legion. Every player creates their own character called a "Guardian," humanity's chosen protectors. As a Guardian in Destiny 2, players must master new abilities and weapons to reunite the city's forces, stand together and fight back to reclaim their home. The official Destiny 2 reveal trailer, "Rally the Troops," shows two of the Vanguard, leaders of the Guardians, inspiring the people of the last city in an impassioned (and occasionally sarcastic) call to arms. In Destiny 2, players will answer this call, embarking on a fresh story filled with new destinations around our solar system to explore, and an expansive amount of activities to discover. There is something for almost every type of gamer in Destiny 2, including gameplay for solo, cooperative and competitive players set within a vast, evolving and exciting universe.

Destiny 2 is currently Rating Pending (RP) by the ESRB and will be available at a suggested retail price of $59.99. The product line-up will also feature the Destiny 2 - Game + Expansion Pass Bundle at $89.99 SRP, the Destiny 2 - Digital Deluxe Edition featuring premium digital content at $99.99 SRP, the Limited Edition at $99.99 SRP, and the Collector's Edition, featuring a fully-wearable Destiny 2 - Frontier Bag, Expansion Pass, premium digital content and a Cabal-themed Collector's Box for $249.99 SRP.

lol MILLIONS will be playing on the Xbox.. Put your DS4 bias aside or buy the Scorpio version.

I will never put my DS4 bias aside. I believe the Elite controller is worth buying a Xbox for alone. If Bungie has a lot more content initially with Destiny 2, I'll buy it on Xbox. If not, I'm not playing a shooter with the DS4 regardless of extra content.

With solar blanket.

I am getting TWO versions this time.
YUP I will buy all my MP 3rd party games on my fav MP 3rd party machine.
Destiny has had a load of content since it released and has been my and MILLIONS others best experience this gen.
Blind zealot is a person who keeps trolling a series that they didn't try all the content from ie you who its beyond obvious didn't buy ROI and are butt hurt you can't play the new content.
Keep playing the problem filled copying off Destiny... Division and everything else UBI makes.
If not buying Destiny 2... we get it..move along we seen your b****ing and don't need to see anymore.
Typical non response deflecting crap.

I did,t buy ROI and am glad not hurt. The fact that you try to. use that as a response to facts is hilarious. Even more so when you consider that I have played the gam for over 900 hours.

Getting back to my point--which you couldn't even refute--and bolstering it. How many strikes does Destiny have, it has like 18-20, but how many are relevant to end game players, only a mere 5-6. How many Raids has thei been, about 4, but only one is ever relevant.

The DLC ethos totally wrecks any momentum and renders the vast majority of content irrelevant. That isn't refuteable either, it is a fact.

You spoke to these millions? Cause that's a big claim...

Levels make content irrelevant, not necessarily DLC.

I think their biggest problem was all the rumored difficulties with the engine. Hopefully that is resolved in D2. It is no secret that the engine kind of handcuffed them for content.

You don't like Destiny's content. So, what game like it has/had enough content for you at launch? Just curious what the "gold standard" is for a game of this type (because I'd love to play it!).

Destiny had piss poor content at launch. Just go back a look for topics in their own forum or on the reddit sub from when it was released. The thing that saved the game was the great gun combat.

You mean games that follow the MMO ethos.

How about pretty much every MMO ever created.

And yes, levels are big part of the problem, and they get raised every DLC release. Hence the " DLC ETHOS REVAMP" comment.

No I definitely agree. I played for a month at launch, hit 20 and not even close to max light and quit for a long time. I don't think I played again until Wolves.

I have never hidden my thoughts about destiny, and everything I have said is undeniably true.

The sad part is, going by that reveal trailer, that Bungie hasn't lisened, learned, or changed their ways.

Going by the reveal trailer we know absolutely nothing about the game so I don't know where you get that from

They show weapons, armour, your enemy, and it is all Destiny 1 or D1 esque.

Were you even watching it?

No it won't but he will still buy it
Than b**** about it

Just like the first game, right? There were so many people who complained about Destiny and when you check their game play time it was over 100hrs. played. It was hilarious how people got so much out of the first game and still weren't happy.

Destiny hater says "this sucks, da fck. After I finish this patrol, run 27 strikes and 2 raids I'm done." And then the next day they log on to do it all over again.
