Even though i got bored of Destiny i enjoyed close to 100 hours of the base game. Definitely my moneys worth right there and look forward to what they improve and implement into the sequel.

Going to go with the PS4 Pro version probably unless PC gameplay feels amazing with the beta since it will have the most content (exclusives). Not looking forward to the GPU upgrade I will have to do though...

Just like the first game, right? There were so many people who complained about Destiny and when you check their game play time it was over 100hrs. played. It was hilarious how people got so much out of the first game and still weren't happy.

Destiny hater says "this sucks, da fck. After I finish this patrol, run 27 strikes and 2 raids I'm done." And then the next day they log on to do it all over again.

There was plenty wrong with the first game and anybody who played it knows it. All the complaints I have seen over the years have been fully legit complaints. Pretending otherwise just shows your fanboyish side.

You want to know why people managed to play a game with so many obvious issues for so long? cause Bungie did what Bungie do best, great gunplay. If it wasn't for the the great the gun play I doubt I would have played for 20 hours.

So you choose to waste your energy complaining about the bad instead of enjoying the game? People (like you) obviously liked the game but you'd rather waste your energy complaining about it. But hey, its your time and you can carry-on b!tching till your heart's content.

There has to be more than just grinding to get better gear.

errr, no. I ejoyed what I could and was vocal about the many many bad things. That is how games/franchises get better, with consumer feedback. Is a shame bungie doesn't listen.

Unfortunately, people like yourself don't recognize that, and think their fanboyish wilful ignorance is helping...but it doesn't.

If my complaining for the betterment of a game I played for 900 houurs is considered wasteing my time, then what have you done with all the time spent praising it anf. refuting legit complaints?

As I said, wilful ignorance is strong with you folk.

The problem is that these games are played by a large group of people, and there are very different opinions on what the game should be. 343 went through this with Halo 4, trying to make everyone happy and ended up making everyone miserable.

A game like Destiny has to cater to the casuals, the middle gamers (not quite hardcore, not quite casual), and the pro gamers.

The hardcore crowd tends to be the most vocal (obviously) so they think their view is the majority, but it isn't.

The other issue is that people have unreasonable expectations. If you buy a single player game for $60 and get 12 hours out of it, you're happy if it is good. You put hundreds of hours into Destiny, and complain there's no content. See the problem? Early on they made guns and gear so hard to get, that it was not fun. Now, they made it so you don't have to grind too badly. I play some strikes and other things on the weekends and I can get max level (eventually) just like anyone else.

For example, the hardcore competitive crowd hates skill based matchmaking, because every time they play, they get paired with top level players and it takes longer to find a game. Me? I can jump on and not get crushed by these top players and actually have a competitive game. Which is right? There's no answer that makes everyone happy.

After the Destiny 1 beta I stayed away from that game. The repetitiveness got to me real fast.

It'll be interesting to see if Bungie made the changes people have been asking for.

I think D2 will still require mass amounts of grinding which might feel repetitive but I think Bungie will make some changes to make the grind more fun. Me... I had no problem with the grind up to a point when things stopped being fun. The whole idea of grinding content for gear which makes another run of the same content more fun is really appealing to me. But I can see how that's not for everyone. Bungie is really good at shooters and I'm sure they learned valuable lessons for the loot part of Destiny and evidence of that is how they changed Destiny over time to be more fun.

That campaign gameplay sold me on the game, it looks great.

I like the new built in group up interface. Nice that they found a better way to find players in activities.

A lot of people seem to be mad that it is only Destiny 1.5, but it looks fun to me? I guess an upgrade to what we have is what I want.
