I play about 15 hours a week on average and haven't power levelled any character, save for getting them all to level 20 so I could start the end game, and I do think that there isn't much to do myself. Once I've completed the weekly milestones that's more or less it for me then until the following reset.
It doesn't bother me as it keeps me interested at least on a weekly basis but I feel they could have really done more with some aspects, like Lost Sectors - could have a procedural dungeon type mission with a strike level boss at the end - Flashpoint could have been more than complete 5 or 6 public events. There could have been some objectives to achieve as part for it for example.

They do have a good starting base this time around so hopefully the DLC will bring improvements

The weird thing is I think they made it too easy to get to 20/265 in the base game. Basically everyone outgrows the content too quickly. Lost sectors are dull because anyone can solo them now with little danger. Would have been fun if I didn't level so fast.

I'm not disagreeing on content, but 15 hours per week for a game? Some games themselves only last 15 hours total.

For whatever reason right now Bungie has not turned this into a massive time sink game. That may change in the future but it may not. Bungie could easily have added random things to grind, but they purposely took those out. Not saying people should like it, but that's the direction they are going.

As of right now, I'm just working on getting my Hunter to where my Titan is. Since, I find it hard (coordinate) to Raid and do the Trials, I have no reason to really grind to 300 +. Really, no rush to level any higher than 270+

I'll hop on to do the powerful milestones like Cayde's, Crucible and Flashpoints from time to time. However, at some point it becomes work. The variety quickly fades for me.

15 hours a week is not much for a game trying to be an MMO shooter / loot grinder in my opinion.

But yeah I think most people seem to agree. It's pretty easy to get to the end game and then reach 280+, which in turn is leading to the complaint that there is nothing to do for the end game outside of the weekly resets.

It is interesting as they could have easily doubled the time it takes to get where we are and nobody would complain. I would love to know what their plan is? 10-15 hours is perfect for me but obviously that's low as you said.

-Do they want more people to host guided games? I know they were bothered by the low participation in raids and Trials
-Pushing people towards PVP more? A lot of people never got into PVP as much.
-Do casual players get flustered they can't get things?
-Is this something they'll hit hard in the 1st expansion which comes December?

What platform? Guided games supposedly went live this week so that should help.

My only beef with the game is it kind of forces you into a clan now. I think we have one going on each platform. The great thing about a clan is you get legendary engrams just from everyone playing.

What's the name of the clan? I've been wanting to join one for the xbox side. Not much time to play during the week, maybe a hour a day but weekends are good.

That's what's funny about the game. Everyone on Reddit says "there's nothing to do!!" then every other post is how to cheese/glitch your way to getting everything super quick. Don't look for the youtube shortcut on everything and then say you're bored an hour later.

There's no point in power leveling. Trials doesn't even have level advantage enabled.

There isn't much to do. Doesn't matter if you power level or not. A big issue is almost everything is super quick & easy to do. Also doesn't help that there isn't anything to chase, Bungie took away weapon rolls and failed to replace it.

I have no idea how they did this..

So in the other dimension, three players see 3 different symbols You melle the one not called in the throne room

How the hell did they know what the third symbol was???

Xur has yet to sell Titan armor I didn't already have, he must be conspiring together against me with that douche Zavala.

I've had all the armor too, but I don't have the riskrunner. What are people doing to get legendary shards? I dismantle all my duplicate purples, but infusion is starting to eat them up now that I'm over 280.

Should I just dismantle stuff I don't use, assuming I can get it again? I'm just afraid Bungie is going to do their usual nerf fest, and suddenly something that is terrible today will dominate tomorrow.

Is the Riskrunner that SMG that gets charged from Arc damage? If so I need that gun. I've seen U2 have loads of fun with that weapon.

It looks like I'll have to do the boring grind for Faction tokens because I want the armor for my Warlock from Dead Orbit. I'm not looking forward to that but the pay off will be sweet.

Yes, I hear it is great for Arc burn, kind of like Zhalo back in the day.

I'm just super short on shards. I'm afraid to scrap anything. You just know Bungie is going to nerf scouts and autos to heck and flip the meta upside down any week now.

Cool, getting the Riskrunner and if things hold true the Titan armor because I find that class has the best looking stuff.

I hope you're wrong about a nerf to Scout and Auto Rifles. I think those two weapon classes are in a good place. A slight buff to Pulse Rifles would be nice but that's about it for weapon balancing. But I don't do much Crucible play outside of completing the Milestone so what do I know.

I have that Titan chest piece off a drop. Seems solid for using the solar class in PVP. Wasn't anything amazing but then again few exotics are.

I really hope Bungie does something different this time around than just nerf everything. The problem in PVP isn't the weapons, but the maps and the way they slowed everyone down. Scouts dominate, but just because that's the style of play the game pushes now.

Good teams can still rush and flank (best way I find is having 1-2 people with scouts while 2 others flank). Some of the pulse rifles are really good, the problem is getting into position to use them. Hard to sneak up on a Mida user.

Yes, it's that SMG. It's one of my favorite exotics by far, it's incredible against the Fallen. Everyone should get it, no questions asked. I lucked out and got it as one of my very first exotic engrams, The jerk inside of me is semi-depressed that everyone will have it now!

It was funny hearing how happy you'd get to be shot by the Fallen. Watching you fry them was awesome and I can't wait to try it out for myself. I think Xur's weps cap out at 270 power so I think I'll take a little hit to my rating until I find a higher SMG to use as infusion fuel.

I like it quite a bit. I'm one of those guys who holds the super and doesn't use it nearly as often as I should. This exotic rewards you for that, lets your grenades and melee charge super quick. If you do the subclass with the sunspots after ability kills, you can refill your grenades and melee sooooooooo fast in PVE.

Wow, thanks the link from Kerosene31 it shows that I've spent 948 hours in Destiny.1. :surprise:

And a mere 51 hours in Destiny 2.

I think I hit the wall. Last night, fired up D2 and looked at the milestones. I really didn't feel like doing all loot sectors for rep bundles, challenges again, etc. etc.

I'm sure I'd be fine playing with others and doing the tasks, because you can shoot the $hit.

I think I'll take the week off and play some Cuphead. I also downloaded Pinball FX3 and imported my tables. Also downloaded Fortnite Battle Royale, if anyone is interested in Squads.

Don't hesitate to message me if anyone wants to do Strikes, Nightfall, Raid and Crucible. I don't mind doing those with people. I just don't feel up to running around and doing the milestones.

It took over 2 months for me to hit the wall in D1. This was only a month. I see the rinse and repeat too clear.

I have not hit my wall yet, but I am close. There's still some legendaries and exotics I need, and those are coming at a solid rate, so the carrot is still there for now. I've actually had very little time to play the past week or so. I definitely see that wall coming, and honestly if I hit the game hard this weekend I probably hit it.

I'm totally ok with shelving the game until the next expansion though too. That isn't a bad thing IMHO, but a natural thing.

I'm playing it in daily sprinkles just soaking up time waiting for iron banner to drop.
