I am still too low level for the forges. I stopped leveling at 580 because I got bored. Then they raise the cap to 650 and make the entry level 610+ (which they've never done).

The other problem is so many weapon types are garbage in PVE. I realize balancing PVP is tough, but PVE? Scout rifles still are horrible. I get scouts with god rolls on them and they still don't outdamage pulse and auto rifles.

I'm 609 now so hopefully can find some fun in the forges.
I love pulse rifles in pvp but for gambit I've cleared teams with the polaris lance when invading multiple times. Otherwise yeah scouts for the most part are meh. P.L. though falls into my top 3 exotics...

I got a Tango45 from the forge with high impact reserves and rampage on it. Not bad.

Was not happy to see an Edge Transit.

What's a realistic level for the 2nd forge? I'm only 628 so probably at least a week away. At least I can farm the 1st forge easily now.

Got one exotic bow yesterday and the other today.
Wishender is the only one I'm missing.
Also had multiples of every forge weapon except for Blast Furnace.

Don't even get me started on exotics. Ever since they supposedly tweaked the duplicate protection I've had nothing but duplicates. Gotten 2 copies of the sword that is useless.

I'm worried that the Last Word is going to be a ton of PVP stuff that nobody is going to want to do.

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but you can get a raid chest or two solo easily doing this:

Anyone else following the drama around unlocking the last forge? Apparently streamers and others have been at it for 24 straight hours now and are getting frustrated and quitting. Basically it seems to be random puzzles that nobody can figure out, so it works out to be trial and error.

Kind of funny but also kind of sad how out of touch Bungie is. Granted, most of us will just wait and google the answer once others have figured it out, but is that a fun design?

You guys see the tweet? The marriage between Activision and Bungie is OVER! Bungie will self publish going forward. I thought something was fishy when Bungie announced investment from Chinese mobile publishers not long ago and now its apparent why.

It won’t take long now to see who was really at fault for the decline of this franchise. On the one hand Bungie is no longer held to what some called unreasonable scheduling for content release to satisfy Activision shareholders. On the other hand I don’t think anyone could blame Activision for low drop rates and generally uninspired decisions that lead to full reversals that harken back to D1.

Looks interesting. Basically next week you can get easy drops to get your characters (or alts) up to 640. My main is 650 but it is a great time to get my other characters up as well.

I'm confused...is this a DLC expansion or just a season content drop?

If it is the former then lolz....same old Bungie.

Both, but I'm guessing the expansion is just going to be one of those 3-5 mission kind of deals, but they've said very little about it.

The last one was actually ok, the constant problem is that the loot is just too thin and uninspiring.

Holy crap, gear sets are coming to D2? If so that could be huge.

Fck, I decided to hold off on Anthem because of all the hoopla surrounding its launch but in the last couple of day have been leaning towards getting it. And now Bungie is trying to sway me back to being a Guardian with potential gear sets.

I've played quite a bit of Anthem and while the combat can be fun, I wouldn't recommend buying it. It's just missing too many features and the loot pool is laughable. Not to mention the countless bugs.

The gear sets are just for Gambit right now. I wouldn't get super hyped on them as of yet. D2 has never done a good job of deep RPG builds and I don't think this alone is going to change that. Destiny 2 has a major problem of lack of loot variety, especially on the armor side. There's still very little concept of a build. I hate to steer people away from Destiny but the game is just so "hollow" right now. Low loot drop % and few real RPG options. It just isn't fun. They've turned the power grind into the main part of the game. I'm sort of stuck after buying the season pass so I feel compelled to play.

You should hold off on Anthem and see how that flushes out. It has a ton of potential but a ton of problems. I think it can be a late bloomer like Division 1. Honestly best to sit back and see how Division 2 launches and go from there. What's funny though is Anthem has made me realize what I don't like about Destiny. I've never been big in Division, but Div2 looks really good right now too.

The new gambit armor doesn't look that great, they just took the existing gambit armor and modified it and added "chroma". The unique perks for Gambit will be interesting though.

That said the Eververse armor is looking great, too bad is Eververse though:laugh:

Supposedly Xur is finally selling Forsaken exotics starting this Friday. Since they never actually drop for anyone anymore.

It will just be like what Raid Armour had in Destiny 1. Nothing great and not needed at all.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this game. I say I don't like it and complain about it constantly, but I am sure I have way more playtime in Destiny 2 than any other game.

The slow content drip model is just a real problem. Plus as much as I hate to compare games directly, Div 2 just launched the bar for these games into the stratosphere. Bungie needs to step up their game and not just dump a bunch of features in D3 like they did moving from D1 to D2.

People mistakenly think that Bungie is "ignoring" PVP but actually they have it working exactly as intended. They want a system where the hardcore and youtube streamers can pubstomp all the time. Matchmaking not only doesn't take groups into account, but actually purposely puts solos against teams. I was playing Iron Banner to get Thorn and ran into a game with 2 teams of 3 each. What does matchmaking do? Turn the 2 3-stacks into a 6 man team.
Bungie regularly has streamers out to their studios to talk about PVP. They just had one in the last week or two.

The whole thing is just clickbait anyway.
