Has anyone played it yet? I loved the original back on the NES and the remake looks great, however, there seems to be no demo for it.

I am loving it. To me it feels like the classic and it is wonderful hearing the old music. The biggest difference is the voice acting and added "cinemas" making it like a lost episode. I regretfully bought castle of illusion last week and I didn't enjoy it because they changed so much and the controls felt off.

Sweet. I dl'd the demo for CoI, and while the graphics and music are top notch, like you said the controls just don't seem right. It totally turned me off to it. I might pull the trigger on Ducktales though...

Can't get into it. Hate the 3D graphics for this. It just looks so damn generic. This would've been a good case of going all 2D. The Monkey Island remakes got it and Rayman Origins hit the nail on the head. The person who thought making the background 3D, yet keeping the characters 2D needs a long hard lesson in consistency.

The 3d backgrounds didn't bother me. What I like about it is that it "feels" like the old game, which castle of illusion did not. I have been playing a lot of Rayman legends on Wii u as of late and I love that. For this to still be fun says a lot.

The only negative is my daughter got to the boss in the amazon and gave up. It isn't that hard of a boss but the new games have really been cakewalks. We had a discussion on "back in my day...". So now she just likes to watch.

The graphic looks amazing. The gameplay looks fun as well. Still not sure about $15 tag, though. o_O

I forgot about this game coming out. This used to be one of my favorite games, back in the day. 15 bucks seems a bit steep. 10 bucks (considering it's been splashed with an upgraded look). sounds more attractive. Hell I'm gonna buy it anyways.

I did pay about 40 for it back in the day. ;) It is rather short but for me it is more then worth it, the level design I great and I see myself replaying it,

I'm all over this when there is a sale. Same goes for Rayman: Legends.

The acting is spot on. Sounds like it may be recycled from the t.v series. No way in hell voice acting is that perfect in 2013.

I wouldn't mind a new Darkwing Duck Remake.

from interviews it sounds like all the original voice actors came back. Hopefully this does well and there will be future remasters.

The demo is finally up on XBLA, don't know why it wasn't originally available. I dl'd it, have to try it in a bit

Sweet, thanks for letting us know. DL'ing demo now

Edit: Graphics are great, and the controls feel like I am playing with a NES controller again (hard to explain but I am sure you will know what I mean when/if you play it)

I just beat it. Over all it is rather short so don't expect anything epic in that regard. Having said that, I loved every minute.

Sweet, that's what I'm hoping to hear. I loved the NES version of DT and the Genesis version of Castle of Illusion. After playing CoI the controls just felt off or sluggish compared to what I remember and it threw off the whole game to me. I remember DT having that tight, almost rigid, Nintendo style controls, which got DT to a tee, nice that they're still intact.

There was no save feature back in the day so the game is pretty short..
