EA Access on Xbox One.

This service is such a great value. Especially if you have any moderate interest in sports games or shooters. The long trials alone are worth the price.
For sure.

The service isn't great value if a gamer is willing to buy all the latest EA games at full price at launch. But for casual fans, $30/yr is nothing. That's basically the price of one average used game.

MS's Xbox Pass thing is another good subscription for gamers who don't mind playing older games. according to MS site, it's $10/mth (in Canada it's $12), so $120/yr. Add EA Access for $30 and a family has access to tons of games for $150/yr. Add Gold for $60 for MP and GwG and that's $210 + tax.... let's say around $230/yr.

Sounds like a lot, but for a gamer or family who doesn't care about the latest AAA game for $60+tax, subscriptions fit the bill.

No different than Netflix. Before they spent money to have exclusive content, it used to be just a big catalog of old movies and TV shows at the beginning. And millions of people were happy with paying money to watch oldies.

I just subscribed on a whim. My son wanted to Garden Warfare 2 so we looked it up on the online store and it was $30 or free with EA Access. So I looked into it and saw all these games that come free with it. So I subscribed and I'm very happy with it.

One thing too about EA Access is that if there's any games you want to buy digitally, being subscribed should give you 10% off the price. 10% isn't a lot, but better than zero.

And is it true we get free trial for Mass Effect Andromeda?

Well the games are overpriced to begin with. Can get them all cheaper on Physical disc.

New stuff being added to Origin Access / EA Access sometime before September:

+Battlefield 1
+Titanfall 2
+Oxenfree
+Sims 4: Digital Deluxe Edition
+Rebel Galaxy
+All DLC for Star Wars Battlefront (a game thats already in there)

Also remember you have early access for Fifa 18, and Play First Trials for Madden 18, NHL 18, NBA Live 18, Need for Speed: Payback and Star Wars Battlefront 2 to look forward to in the upcoming months.

s*** is continuing to be one of the best deals out in gaming.

Just glad Sony said no to EA Access. If they don't think it's a good value then i trust them. Rather have the big blockbuster AAA exclusives anyway. Least we know their heart is in it.

If you want a jack of all trades console then Xbox One is there for you. Perfect for the cheap and casual gamer with deals like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass plus free BC. If you want BC with real improvements then buying Sony's remasters is the way to go.

I want to say this is a joke post but i'm afraid it's not. The kool-aid is delicious.

Dude you are such a mess.

Anyways...EA Access has never been close to failure on delivering $30 of value per year and I've had it since it launched. One of the best values on consoles this gen and it does not get enough mainstream credit. It's an incredible disservice to customers that Sony still doesn't allow it.

Well at first the $30/yr was a bit steep with the small collection of games. However, looking at it now with how many games are on there and the fact the 2 big games from last fall are hitting....pretty damn good service for those that can wait and don't have to have games right away. Microsoft needs to follow this model for Game pass....discounts and a yearly price (and/or price rolled in with Gold membership).

Titanfall 2 is actively working as an EA Access title as of today.

It's not listed in the app, but if you find the game in the store, you can install it now.

So, has Titanfall 2 improved much since launch?

Thinking of grabbing a month to play it.

Certainly been lots of free updates. I'll be playing it anyway as they have finally added frontier defense.

Started my free month of EA Access and plan on doing the year after it's up. Downloaded Titanfall 2. I'm going to download BF4, Hardline, Madden 17, PGA Tour, NBA Live 16, and Battlefront.

Nice service!

I love it just for the EA Sports games that I used to be tempted to buy every year and be disappointed.

BF4 let me carry over my stats and stuff from 360 version. BF Hardline I had to start over. Oh well I love this game having a lot of fun playing it again. Heist mode is where it's at.

Tried some Madden 17 this evening. Game looks great. I haven't played a Madden game in many years... and I now remember why I quit playing them years ago. Man can it get throw the controller at the tv frustrating sometimes! Going to dive into the Franchise modes when I get a chance.

EA games have gone from frustrating to unplayable lately (at least offline). Not only has the AI not improved, it seems to have gotten worse in many games. They basically make games assuming everyone plays online at this point. In Fifa and NHL, the CPU players just run/skate around with superhuman powers. They aren't smart, they are just super agile and can never be beaten.

The only mode I enjoy in any of the games is where you just control one player (be a pro or whatever they call it in the various games).

If any kind of game can improve from cloud based AI it would be EA sports games. The AI has always been cheesy as all hell in most of their games. It's not even fun to play against.

It isn't even a technology problem. They just have put zero effort into it in years. PES does a much better job of handling AI (at a fraction of EA's budget).

Madden 18 is up for EA Access Play First Trial.
-Story mode is limited to Act 1

If anyone dives into this, post pics here, my tv has been taken over at the moment but I'd love to see some Frostbite Engine Madden graphics.

See the Saboteur is on the pc version. Hurry up and make it BC MS and EA as I still have this and it was a lot of fun.

i gave up on it on PS4 Pro cause frames were still bad

if Xbox One X version gets updated and is locked 30 i might look into playing it again
