EA at E3 2017

Bald guy: "I think I've spend about $1,000 playing Galaxy Heroes"

Female host: "Oh my god (with stunned face)....."

Female host: "......That's awesome"

No more Star Wars. Please...make it stop. What did we do to you EA? Why do you hate us so?

what?
Are we watching the something because Star Wars looks insane?

Only thing good came out is the New Need for Speed and SWBF2.

Everything else is Caca

I didn't see the conference but I'm hearing all EA games will be native 4K on Scorpio....?

Good
- Anthem
- SW BF full gameplay

So-So
- A Way Out (good concept, looks choppy)

Ughhhh
- Presenters
- No details or gameplay of Madden
- Worthless snippet of NBA Live
- NFS (looks like Chase HQ on steroids). Fast paced driving, combined with game pausing cinematic crash close-ups. And possibly the most amateur voice acting I remember. This is the type of robotic dialogue you heard from CD multimedia games from 1996

(I missed the first 10 minutes of the show..... not sure what happened there, but started watching when two guys joked about Peter Moore and Liverpool).

BF2 looked amazing visually. Think Frostbite is the most impressive game engine currently. Looking forward to seeing what Bioware's A team has put together.

Haven't purchased a Madden game since I got it free as a pack-in with my Xbox despite being a huge football fan. Hope they bring back some excitement to a franchise that's been stale for years.

The only thing that was Scorpio mentioned, was they showed some Madden player model screenshots and said these were Scorpio assets.

At least we started with EA, which is usually one of the worst conferences at E3. Bethesda is next tonight correct?

What a train wreck. Multi billion dollar company cant put together a 1 hour highlight real without it turning into ass.
You truely suck Electronic Arts.

solid 5/10, none of the other star wars games showing up was sad

Yeah, I hear that. Amy Henning has been locked in a steel box for three years now. I'm really interested in seeing what she's working on.

And they showed Anthem running on the Scorpio.

They showed cut scenes, we'll see tomorrow what actual gameplay looks like. After the downgrade ME:A got from it's first showing to launch I'm kind of skeptical of bioware right now. Thankfully that's not going to be the only game we see running on Scorpio.

I can understand why they didn't show it but I think we all wish we had just to give us a bit more of a clue as to what it is. BF2 is the big Star Wars game coming this year so clearly they don't want to take any shine away from that or possibly drown out the other titles debut.

Nothing to be skeptical about. EA (and UBI) are the two poster childs for bullshots and downgrades.

Its in their nature.

On the other hand, a company like Bethesda usually does the opposite. A new ES, Fallout or Doom game is coming soon and they simply show montages of game footage or someone from the dev team demoing it.

The final game is very close to the preview coverage.

Well, I watched to see what I needed to, which was the two reveals.

I love Josef Fares. Infectious energy, not all scripted (obviously, lol), creative. I'm bummed that the game is only couch/online co-op and not playable SP, but I get it. That's an extension of Brothers, and it does sound like an interesting step forward for the co-op genre.

The Bioware peek was interesting, too, though short. From what I'm getting, it's mostly an online MP game, similar to Destiny. I guess we'll hear more tomorrow.

Yeah I won't be getting that co op game either but I give them credit for pushing the couch co op experience the way they did and for trying something a little different. The Bioware game I'm not so sure about, honestly they F'd up Andromeda so much from the visual downgrades between announce and launch to all of the issues with the final game that I don't have a ton of confidence in them as a developer right now.
