EA's CFO: Titanfall 2 probably going to be multiplatform

Expected to happen. I personally don't care about the franchise but I suppose I am glad others get to try it.

I hear it's 30 million PS4's shipped from the assembly line to packaging. There is a tape shortage.

The game is already multiplatform. PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360. Not surprised this will see the light of day on the PS platform.

I think this was obvious all along and Respawn even said so. Hopefully the sequel ships with more content.

This is how it should of been from the start.

As far as Respawn were concerned it was the plan. Then that EA & MS deal came out the blue, and Respawn were not happy.

This news of going multiplatform falls under the 'water is wet' category. I personally am glad about that. Titanfall is pretty damn fun, and everybody should have the opportunity to play it, as they should all games.

Already was multiplatform technically since it was on PC.

But, no surprise.

First one is boring so not really holding my breath for Titanfall 2.

I thought Titanfall was only possible with teh power of teh cloud and Kinect. The PS4 could never run such a game.:txbconfused:

In all honesty though, I doubt I'd buy a sequel. The gameplay is solid and it was fun for a couple of weeks, but there wasn't a whole lot there. I also got tired of having 90% of my shoot-outs be against brain-dead AI. That got really boring really fast and killed the game for me. They needed to up the player count badly.

I wonder how Sony are going to supply the cloud service for matches and dynamic AI. This of course is assuming the game is designed the same way.

I do not think it will be the same. I think Titanfall 2 will be straight up 24-32 player

I hope not. Or at least if it is 12 v 12 I hope they keep the same format with the bot armies fighting all around you. I loved that design mechanic.

I hope they keep them as well. However, would be nice if they made them a bit smarter. I understand that they do not want them to be deadly, but they could be smarter in where they take iring positions and how they react to the battle around them.

I think my Apple PowerBook from 1990 could run that brain dead AI.

TF2 is going to need a lot more content than the first one for me to purchase. I still need to check out the horde mode for the first one.

but that is the point of that A.I. It is not supposed to be done by local hardware, it is done by the cloud.

I'm saying that my 1990 MacBook could run that AI without the cloud. It was awful. That brain-dead AI zapped all the fun out of the game for me.

Cardboard cut outs would have been just as effective.

Didn't really get my money's worth from the first one. The second one would definitely need to be better in every single way to get me interested! A campaign mode would be awesome as well.
