Factor 5 gone.

This is old new didnt they close down years ago?

Anywho, I loved Mega Turrican on the Genesis. Scaling, rotation and zooming all stuff that wasnt supposed to be done on the Genesis, plus it was a super fun game.

I suppose, I just read it again kind of ruined my day I suppose. The concept art was new though, at least to me. Mega Turrican also had fantastic music btw, and I suppose I had some hope that eventually they would come back to live and produce something for the Wii U. I had some hope the split off company would do that I suppose, but I'm sorry about the old news.

My mistake, I should have done more research.

Nah, no mistake :) I didn't know if they maybe still had a skeleton crew left at the company or something. Last I heard they closed up shop like 5 years ago.

I diss DICE for what they became. They used to be a lot more than producing Battlefield like shooters. They where legendary on the Amiga for their musical prowes. They where legendary on the Xbox for Rallysport Challenge and Midtown Madness 3.

So I "diss" DICE for that, as I love their old games quite a bit. Did you for instance see their Cancelled game "Hardcore" for the Genesis? They where so much more than a "Shooter churner" they are now.

 
I personally like the new stuff/BF's they make and nobody makes better competitive mp shooters in the modern era imo.

Factor 5 made one of my fav games which was prob the best looking GC game Rouge Leader.

It's not that you can't like battefield, it is that they ONLY make Battlefield and shooters. If you liked their older games it is a bit of a miss :).

True, though after such a period of time being a one genre wonder, you have to think how much of the old guard is still left at DICE? Prolly the ones who enjoy making nothing but FPSs, however, I'd bet most who made their multi-genre games so good have prolly moved on.
 
Seems like what Dehnus hates is EA's use of DICE, although to be fair, they're making a new Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge. Plus, DICE has become one of the biggest devs in the industry as a result of their move. One of EA's star pieces is Battlefield, only matched by FIFA and Madden. I'm sure the employees appreciate their job security in a time where the industry isn't as healthy.

I'm just made at DICE because they didn't show us anything from Battlefront at E3.
