Due to the tremendous demand for tickets, and in an effort to keep it as fair as possible for all Xbox fans, we’re shifting the ticketing process to an online random drawing – fans who have an Xbox Live gamertag and are over the age of 21 will be able to submit their names for either ticket on our submission website. The submission website – coming soon – will stay open for several days before we choose winners. The winners of the FanFest tickets will be chosen first, and the drawing of Briefing-Only Fan Tickets will follow soon after.

We’re switching things up in regards to our pricing this year, too. While there will be no cost for the Briefing-Only Fan Tickets, this year each FanFest ticket will cost $45, with FanFest ticket winners being able to purchase up to two tickets each. The decision to charge this year wasn’t taken lightly so we are making 100% sure there is a FanFest-sized benefit. Where FanFest has always been about paying it forward to passionate Xbox fans around the world, now the fans will be able to pay it forward to others. All money raised from the sale of FanFest tickets will benefit a charity that we will announce in the near future. Further, we’ll have a special moment at E3 where FanFest attendees will get to see first-hand how their money will turn into something amazing for others.

So how will the ticketing work? You’ll need to submit your name during the open submission dates that we’ll be announcing soon, then choose the ticket (or tickets) you would like to be considered for. You may choose both! If you win a ticket to Xbox FanFest, you will automatically have access to the Xbox Briefing. If you don’t win a FanFest ticket, you are eligible for the Briefing-Only Fan Ticket only if you specify that in your original submission. FanFest winners and their Guest are not eligible for additional Briefing-only Fan Tickets. Last but not least, keep an eye on the random drawing dates, then watch your email inbox once the winners have been chosen.

Is this the same event that they messed up on last year and sold tickets to people, then told people they couldn't go after buying tickets? Hope they get it right this time.

That was the site they selected to host the sign up, people figures out a loophole/glitch to get in and it ended up with more people getting in then there were tickets for said event...but they did give tickets to e3 to those who were in that clusterpuck, just not to the briefing/fanfest.

This time MS is doinging it themselves, for signing up.

You should give it a go, if you’re in town...bring a Switch ;)

Welcome to Xbox FanFest: E3 2018! You are now a registered fan of FanFest. It’s going to be a FanFest to remember! Please read below for important information.

Xbox FanFest begins at 10:00 a.m. PDT on Sunday, June 10. Once you have checked-in, we will have a short Fan Rally before fans are led over to the Xbox Briefing at Microsoft Theater. FanFest check-in and Fan Rally will be at the RealD Premiere Cinema at Regal L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. Following the Briefing, fans return to the Cinema for a fun and highly entertaining Xbox fan event which lasts until 5:30 pm.

On Monday evening, June 11, fans return to the Microsoft Theater for FanFest Showcase, where fans get Early Access to Xbox games and blockbuster titles. Approximate time of Showcase is from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. More details to follow after May 28.

If you foresee any issues with check-in on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. PDT, please contact us immediately. You cannot check-in at the Microsoft Theater.

You are also receiving a special bonus – a 3-Day E3 Expo Passes! This is an exclusive gift for only FanFest attendees. Soon after May 28, we will send an email with instructions on how to redeem your Pass. E3 begins on Tuesday, June 12 and lasts until Thursday, June 14.

Random doesn't seem fair either. I have been an XBL gold subscriber for 15 years now, and buy all their hardware and software. So some snot nosed kid that is 21 and signed up for XBL yesterday could get in before me.
