Official Thread Fargo (TV Series)

Unlike True Detective season 2 of Fargo has been just as great as season 1.

What is with the seeing things in the Sky? First Rye and now the Indian.

Not sure there. Could be just a little thing to make a connection with the times or something.

I actually was sad when the latest episode ended because I wanted to watch more haha.

I think Kirsten might be caught up in some pyramid scheme? haha. I think she's been one of the best actors so far!

Such an amazing show! The cinematography seems amazing to me too it looks beautiful.

All the actors are just so damn good. Jeffrey Donovan has been my favorite. He's just awesome.

So, another scene--looking at the kids drawing-- to go along with those 'Rye & Indian looking in the sky' scenes I asked about earlier.

Not sure if it misdirection or a hidden sequence of events that was actually the reason this sou falls event lingered in the minds for so very long.

There is a lot more to think about in this season. What it all means, if anything, I don't know. It's just so good.

Finished last night's episode, phenomenal.

Yeah I think I may end up liking this season even more than last season.
Last season was great. This season is even better. If patterns hold true, with the third season of a series being the best, with the exception of The Walking dead, and I'm sure a few others, we'll be in for a real treat next season!

Trying to think of how many shows were better in their third season than in their first...hmmm....drew a blank.

The Office, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm...

Crap, good, crap, crap, crap...in all seriousness though, I have only seen Breaking Bad out of those listed.

Even so, third season being best seems like an exception rather than a rule. Having said that, this is Fargo. So, I wouldn't bet against it.

Holy s*** last nights episode. Simply amazing. So much tension. Everything was perfect. The score was so perfect for the episode.

Wait....are you saying you haven't seen The Sopranos, Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm?

Just watched the latest Fargo episode and it was great. I thought the last episode was incredible. This one was pretty intense and is going to cause a lot of change, so in that regard, we'll see where it goes from here. The native has to meet his end at some point no? Will he regret going after the butcher? haha.

Funny, I didn't even think about it but there is a tie in from the first season (I'm sure I'm the only one who didn't realize it) but Lou Solverson (the main cop dude, not Ted Danson) is Keith Carradine from the first season, and his little girl is the main cop on the first season. I think he also lost his wife to cancer? :( I mean I knew that this season was about the infamous Sioux Falls thing that they talked about in season 1, but I didn't put it together that these were relatives or young versions of that.

Just started watching the first season and i was hooked in the first episode, incredible cast of characters and old Billy seems to be in prime form.

FARGO RENEWED FOR SEASON 3

FX has announced it's ordered a third season for its hit television series Fargo.

Awesome news. Will be interesting to see where they go with it. Will it be a sequel or another prequel...no clue. I haven't noticed any strong links to a potential new story in the current season. Nor can I recall one from season one.

The mafia family that is trying to take over in this one could be one avenue.

Possibly.

What is funny is the hoopla and connection in season one was all about Sioux Falls, and we haven't even gone there yet. We have had all this death a carnage, but the most memorable part of tale has yet to unfold.

It gets tiring saying this, but, last night's episode, just amazing. Best cinematography in a tv episode, ever, last night. The series is just, flat out, one of the best ever. I can't speak highly enough about it.

Another great episode, it was awesome seeing Tim McManus from Oz.

Damn, I didn't catch that. Went back and yeah, that's him! Wow, he looks very different now (older, but mostly the face is fuller and he's got jowls)

s*** like that makes me feel old. OZ wasn't that long ago right.......? haha

What was up with those drawings? I was thinking an alien for a minute, but then realized it's probably that girl from the butcher shop? no idea.

And that mirror in the elevator. What kind of cinematography trick is that? The never ending reflection, so trippy!

Christ, I couldn't remember where I remember him from. THAT'S where!

Always liked that guy, pretty sure that's the 1st thing I've seen him in since Oz ended. Bokeem Woodbine has been excellent as well. The cast as a whole is phenomenal.

Perfect casting for every part. Best casting, as a whole, ever.

Well, an Alien would fit with those 2 weird looking at the sky moments from Rye and the Indian:grin:

It wasn't the girl from the butcher shop, though. It was Hank Larsson(Ted Dansen). Maybe some way for him to understand the impending death of his child.

It doesn't appear to be one language either, but I could be wrong. Seems like a mix of languages belonging to the Gods of ancient times.
