Fighter Within promo....doesn't look half bad!

Can you play this with a normal controller ? I would be willing to give it a go if so, but as a Kinect only game, nah.
I hope you can. The animations look pretty good to me and looks like it would be a good fighter with a controller.
Yeah...and the wii wouldn't be number one console and manditory broadband would destroy the xbox and you have to have Japan to succeed and so on and so on.
I know I'm a minority in the forum space, but I've enjoyed kinect games, especially the fighting games. Would love to play this myself.
Even that terrible fighting game for 360's Kinect...i think it was also a Ubi game?
Fighters Uncaged sucked but PowerUp Heroes and Marvel Avengers were very good and both by Ubisoft.
The Wii was lucky. It managed to strike a chord with non-typical gaming demographics that led to its domination world wide for a very long time. Its Successor has failed miserably in comparison.
Japan is almost irrelevant nowadays in terms of trend setting and bringing out that next big uber IP. They used to be industry leaders, but now have a hard enough time following the more modern day trends.
Yeah...and which console has something that can strike a cord with non-typical gaming demographics? Japan is irrelevant now...but when the xbox came out everybody that thought they knew something said they must win Japan or it would fail....guess that didn't pan out.
Most people just go off previous generations. Japan is still a massive gaming economy, but if you look at it this gen it would seem they are moving away from home based consoles and going Mobile. Not really something that was easily recognized back then.

It does look good, I just want to see how it plays. There are a lot of fancy moves on display in that trailer, I wonder what kind of actions trigger them? And how many different actions you'll need to know? Or are most of them context sensitive, making the game lack depth?
I'm optimistic for this though. Ubi has experience with these, and can learn from past mistakes, plus we have the new and improved power of Kinect 2.0.
