A couple of the guys, from Three Fields, use to work at Criterion; tweeted a few hints about a new upcoming spiritual successor.

Too awesome. Burnout has been one of my favorite series.

Here's their E3 2014 trailer, which indicated they were working on a game with lots of vehicles.

I'm guessing this is the "multiplayer sports game" they are talking about, coming Spring 2016?

Why call it a "spiritual" successor? Using the name but going in a new direction. Be careful Criterion.

Burnout 3 was the only racing game I ever managed to enjoy for more than a half hour (unless you count Midtown Madness 3 on the original Xbox). I look forward to whatever they're doing next.

I hope so, because that looks pretty meh.

I need a new Burnout. None of this Open world nonsense either. I want to go back to the awesomeness of old.

Burnout in VR would be great. I might get a headache, though.
