Forum Tweaks v5.0

UnionVGF has been upgraded to the latest version of Xenforo, 1.5.1. There was a database issue and some recent posts may have been lost in the process. Sorry about that. Everything seems to be moving along OK right now. With the upgrade comes two new styles that will be the new forum look.

I disable the tagging system we were using in favor of Xenforo's new, built-in, tagging system.

Tactical and Tactical Light are currently the only two styles available. All of the other ones are now unsupported at this point. There were many things that broke in those styles and I will have to take a look at the. Tactical and Tactical Light are pretty sweet. Towards the bottom there is something called "AD Styler." This will allow users to customize the look of the site. There are also a few different backgrounds that can be chosen. This will be expanded by me over the next few days. I will also created a thread where users can submit high quality backgrounds that the would like to see added to the list. Not every photo will make it on the list as I only want to keep it the best of the best. The background will include tastes for all forum members.

Take a look at everything and if there are any issues post them in here. Thanks for being so patient.

Everything looks good to me so far Plainview. Thanks for doing all the work. I am still going to toss out some requests:

  • Would like to see a Wiki module added
  • Would like the ability to "hide" threads (not just sections) like you can in reddit
  • Would like to be able to choose my own default font for my posts
  • More light themes as options in the future (though I really enjoy this new light theme

Plainview it said you mentioned me Twice, and nothing! Geez man i got all excited thinking it might be a mod or something, but nothing! Totally ruined my day.

Still not a good solution for a wiki that I'd be comfortable with. There is a way to add tabs to threads and create an in thread wiki of sorts if we do officials threads. Still needs some work and a way that I'm comfortable with handling the threads.

No way possible to hide individual threads.

No way to change font unless change it globally and I won't be doing that.

I'm trying to get away from having too many themes. Trying to make sure each one works with new plugins and updates is a major pain in the ass when you're dealing with a few styles.

Very nice! I like the upgrade a lot. Looks great. I also like moving all those PSN/XBL Ids off the avatars. Cleaner look. I'm not sure how I feel about "Likes received" - makes it seem like a popularity contest or something. But that's minor. Overall, it's a nice improvement.

Tabs to threads for a wiki would be sweet too!

I like it for the most part. It has a real clean feel to it. I've always been a fan of black text on a white background. I already miss the cream theme though. It really grew on me. :(
 
My phone always would have a little "back to top" box in the right corner of this site. I would touch that to bring me to the top of forum. It was a hovering box. But it is no longer there. Coincidence and this is an iOS issue or did the forum update remove it?

Removed. It's an arrow now.

Ok. Well can we have it back? Or does it break the site? Now I have to go all the way down to bottom of page. The hovering one let us go up at any time.
