So no FM8 for fall 2019?
Well they haven't been working on it for the past year so no chance they will make an all new one in just one year.

Yeah the devs have come straight out and said they are not working on a new title. Given how little they've improved the last version or two anyway I don't see that as a problem.

Well that is the problem isn;t it. The series seems to be getting worse.

I got no problem with them taking a bit of extra time with F8. Hopefully it launches with all features, revamped leagues. Racing Regulation system. All the silly cars removed. So kind of skill based rating to improve competitive racing and racing quality overall.

What I would love is for them to add a proper Rally Cross mode. Super fun!

I hope we never get motorcycles or off road in FM7. No motorcycles in FH either.

Yeah, obviously I would hope they add that to FM7. The game visually is fine so it isn't like we need an upgrade there.

It would be interesting if they could get a skill based rating system to work. The GT Sport one still has all sorts of issues, but seems better than nothing.

I’m ok with no motorcycles, but there there should be like does truck racing on street courses like they do when there’s racing at Long Beach. And we should get rally and or rally cross *pours one out for the series*

All of these systems have issues. Will never get them perfect, I don't think. But I would much rather have a flawed system than no system at all.

One major area of discussion for the team has been prize crates. While we’ve never charged money for prize crates in Forza Motorsport 7, their presence in the game has continued to be a source of controversy. The overwhelming feedback has been that this system feels out of place in the game. After careful consideration, we have decided to completely remove prize crates from Forza Motorsport 7. Similarly, paid tokens – which were a part of previous Forza games – will not be coming to Forza Motorsport 7 or Forza Horizon 4.

Good. They certainly do feel out of place 100%.

Due to the complexity of removing prize crates from the game – while keeping access to Driver Gear, Mods and Badges – we expect that this process will be completed in the winter timeframe. Starting this month we’ve already taken steps towards that goal, first by unlocking more than 100 previously locked “exclusive” cars and, second, by completely removing cars from the prize crates in the game. The current lineup of prize crates offer no competitive advantage and only offer Driver Gear suits, Mods and badges, and these crates will remain in place until crates are removed entirely.

Never should have added them in the first place.

I didn't even know they were still in the game. I don't remember ever getting a prize crate for anything.

You don't get them. You have to go in and buy them with in game currency. You are never prompted.

The penalties are coming. Right now they are letting you get used to the new limits:

Updating track limits is a first step towards bringing our updated Forza Race Regulations feature into the game; drivers can now learn and acclimate to the new limits before regulations arrive in the game.

I would love to know why it took them so long to put regular leaderboards back in?

I think Phil has gone to each group and said stop what you are doing, shut the f*** up, don't make anymore games right now and fix your s*** and listen to the consumers. Hence FM7 and Halo MCC focus.

Only people who need to get used too them are all the nubs in multiplayer cutting corners...and they aren't getting used to them cause they are still cutting corners.

Haven't found a single corner yet where there was a massive difference in the old or new limit. Monza chicane, yes. The big curbs on one of the Watkins Glenn layouts, yes. That is about it...but wouldn't call them massive changes.

I was just pointing out that the penalties are coming and that they did the track limits first.

As for the new track limits, they did quite a bit:

We lead off this month with a major change to track limits in Forza Motorsport 7. The team at Turn 10 have redefined track limits for all track ribbons in the game. That means hand-drawing all of those limits – from the smallest circuits like Rio Mini Circuit, to the largest tracks in the game like the Nürburgring Full Circuit. In fact, in the case of the ‘Ring, that means hand-placing more than 13,000 pins to create the splines that define both the inner and outer track limits on that famously gargantuan course.

Updating track limits is a first step towards bringing our updated Forza Race Regulations feature into the game; drivers can now learn and acclimate to the new limits before regulations arrive in the game. While a good number of circuits will feel similar with the new track limits, some tracks have undergone dramatic changes. Specific examples include the second chicane on Monza, as well as the first and last turns at Sebring, both of which will play differently than they have in the past. The basic rule of thumb? Three tires over the line is considered “dirty,” whether you’re racing or drifting.

Players who want an obvious clue as to where the new limits can take advantage of the new illuminated track lines feature, which we’ve implemented to help both new and experienced players understand the new track limits. These illuminated lines are can be toggled on or off in the HUD option and are color-coded for maximum comprehension (blue for safe, yellow for warning, and red when your car is considered over the edge or “dirty”). Players have the option to choose between two illuminated line styles: “ribbon” (a solid line) or “markers” (a dotted line), as well as the option to have the lines illuminated at all times or only when the car gets close to a limit line.

I have the diamond line turned on...and I like it. I think the actual feature is very well implemented. It is just a bit. pointless at this stage.

Don't believe they hand drew all these lines either, it makes no sense

Every game has track quirks though. I'm really getting into Pcars 2 finally (now that I have a wheel) and man you think about hitting a curb sometimes and you're current and next lap is done. :)

Seems like it and they did give a statement that there more to come, since this is what the team is focusing on and not FM8.

500 cars (not counting the 200 stupid cars)
Plenty of tracks...but not really anything new.
Leagues --that still suck.
Online -- which is a clusterf***.

Honestly, if you plan to play online a lot of the time then wait until the Race Regulations are implemented.

And to answer your question...yes, there is plenty of content.
