This is the final part of the review of both consoles. It's going to be short as there's not much to say and it's a conclusion that I assumed would be the case.

If I had a choice to buy a multiplatform game for either the Xbox One, or the Playstation 4, which one would I get it for? The answer... It depends! Each console has their pluses and minuses. If the game was a FPS online shooter, I'd get it for the Xbox One. Why, the controller, Elite and regular, and because of Xbox Live. If the game was a single player where controller preference plays little importance, Playstation 4.

If I was able to use the Elite on the Playstation 4, without a workaround, I could see no reason to get a game, other than exclusives, obviously, on the Xbox One... Even with how solid Xbox Live is. The Playstation 4 just has more horsepower and games simply look and perform better. There's no way around it. Even games of the same resolution just look better, to me, on the Playstation 4.

How I want it to be is not the reality. What is the reality is to own both consoles and to use each console for its strengths. The Xbox One and Playstation 4 both have their own strengths and weaknesses. You buy games for the console handles the game the best for what it is. When games come out that's exactly how I'll purchase them.

What the f*** sort of conclusion is that? "Both have strengths and weaknesses," GTFOOH with that slimy politically correct bulls***!

This is war. Pick a side, motherf***er.

Cop out conclusion! I want my money back!

It is what it is. Neither console buries the other console. Both have their pluses and minuses. I do think it's pretty conclusive when I said if the Xbox One controller was usable on the PS4, without a workaround, I'd get almost all games for PS4.

Guys, I've banned Plainview for a week until he can man up and side with a, er, side and engage in pointless, insecure, point scoring digs at the opposition.

Talk about living up to your name...

Finally the epic conclusion that reminds me the 3rd matrix movie.... meh.

Do you find yourself getting good use out of both consoles? That's always my concern. I'd really like to try some PS games, but I don't want to drop money on something considering that I already have a huge backlog on just one console.

I'm still toying with the idea of getting a PS. No Man's Sky is coming out and other games, although then again I might just build a new gaming PC and master race it the heck out of here :)

It would be nice to have a choice for multiplats. Sometimes, the community of a game just lives on one console. Destiny is a good example. X1 has plenty of people playing and it is one of the most played games on Live, but a lot of the streamer community are on PS. Of course like you said Elite controller vs peasant controller...

Multiplat, where controller is of little consequence, PS4, no question. Controller plays a part, Xbox One, no question. If I gamefly a game I usually get it for ps4. Gamefly'd COD on ps4 and right away the sticks were awful for it. Shadow of Mordor, PS4 is here it should be played, along with Arkham Knight.

Sensible conclusion.

Lets be honest though, settling to use the PS4 controller over the Xbone controller, under any circumstance, is like passing on sex and saying you're okay with a dry calloused handjob.

Cronos Max will be a must buy when I get a PS4... unless there is a cheaper alternative.

I was thinking of getting a adapter to play ds4 on xbo but... I kinda like the going back and forth feel.

That's pretty much how i felt last gen and this gen. Xbox all the way for multiplayer. PlayStation all the way for single player. Although with how sluggish Sony has been releasing exclusives this gen i had to rethink that.

The Xbox One is probably the better all around gaming console at the moment but if you really care about playing the best multiplats then go PS4. By the end of this gen i expect Sony to have the best all around library of games, like any other gen though.

Good series of threads. I enjoyed reading them. Still not sure I'll become a 2 console owner before seeing what Nintendo has up their sleeves though.

I have the XB1 and PS4 and I really enjoy both. If you already have a decent gaming PC the PS4 is probably the best pick, but if not and you can benefit from the BC and XB1 exclusives I think XB1 is also a viable contender.

It's looking more and more like I'll be getting a PS4 when God of War drops, there isn't anything else that is completely pressing that is either released or even announced besides that.

Probably PS4k.

Excellent box quote.

Probably something along the lines of their last 3 or 4 consoles...

Am I the only one who prefers the DS4 than Xbox One's? I just feel the sticks feel far more tight on the DS4 leading to better aiming.

Also, Uncharted 4 is like the only reason you need to get a PS4. Game is so damn good... that epilogue got me like

It gave you an orgasm?

Given the buzz the controller got, I'm sure you aren't the only one. I'm also sure if you have been using dual shocks for a long time it feels great as it is much better than the DS3.

Personally, I think the sticks are too tight, so I end up pushing too hard for quick turns, or feel like I'm fighting them for small movements. Some of it may be just how ND does their controls too. I've only played UC4 so far.

Yes it did. Also gave me a strange feeling in my throat when I heard the music come in :(

The sticks are FAR more soft on the DS4.
