Sony followed up the amazing first gameplay showing of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End with an unexpected look at MLB 15: The Show. The cinematic teaser showed Yasiel Puig (the game's cover star) launching a home run in slow motion against the Dodgers' rival the San Francisco Giants.

Representatives from developer Sony San Diego said that this is the first entry in the series to feature authentic licensed equipment, and that player personalities will be highlighted more prominently. The YouTube listing for the game, says that it offers a "refreshed Franchise mode."

Sony ended its MLB 15: The Show presentation with the announcement of a March 31, 2015 release date for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita.

We don't expect to hear much more about MLB 15: The Show until baseball ramps again next year. For now, check out the early look that debuted at Sony's first PlayStation Experience.

Doesn't look much different from last year which I thought was great but suffered from being a past gen port.

Doesn't look great to be honest. There is zero field deformation or even canned kicked up dirt to be found.

I will buy it this year if they fixed the horrid loading times from the last version. It's the reason I never bought it.

Aw yissss, I was just thinking about how big a difference having actual, frikkin' real licensed gear would make!
