It's that time of year again -- snow on the ground, Christmas lights going up, elves hard at work ... and people voting for GOTY. What's your pick?

I can't vote since I haven't played any of 2013 games (with the exception of Call of Duty Ghosts. I don't consider it as GOTY, though.) Looking forward to the final votes. :)

Not sure and I need to play some more of my games :-/
Anyway I played Borderlands 2 with all of its 2013 DLC the most but that's a 2012 game.

Not sure yet but my candidates are....
(this can change when I play more)

BF4
Metro LL(PC)
The Last Of Us

Yeah, I'm having a hard time voting, too, since I've only played two of the games listed (TR and BI). TR would be my choice among those two. Another personal favorite from this year was "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons."

I have a feeling that TLoU would be my personal choice, if I had played it, but I haven't.

The Last of us for me. So powerful! On over all fun though I would give it to black flag. Kinda like a masterpiece compared to a popcorn flick.

I think the only game that didn't disappoint me this year was Proteus.

I voted AC4 but it was hard to choose between that and GTA5, I think both are deserving.

3D World for me, could change after I play Zelda Link Between Worlds though.

GTA V for me too. The online component fell short in many areas and had a disaster of a launch, but the single player is still incredible and the online is still fun if you have people to play with.

AC4 is really up there with GTA5? hmm That may be the 1st game I buy for my PS4.

Well to me it was but I'm a big fan of the series so I may be a bit more inclined to like it than others plus I played it on PS4 so the graphical upgrades compared to current gen games may have swayed me a bit too.

Had to go with Bioshock Infinite. Haven't played AC:Black Flag yet so not sure how I feel about that one.

I'd say BF4 if they did a better single player campaign, but for the whole package, I'd say GTA V, even though their multiplayer is mediocre.

To me, if you're a huge mp fan, BF4 will be the goty for you, but if you're into sp, GTA V will be that game.

Peggle 2 is going to steal it.

I don't know yet. I have a few titles in mind. Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Brothers, Metro: Last Light. I haven't gotten around to play Going Home or Stanely Parable, but those are probably in different leagues.

No RPGs this year?

The Last of Us.

For me, the game was more than just a game, I was emotionally connected and that is very hard to do. GTA V and BF4 are fun but they didn't impact me in the same way as TLoU did. I WANTED to save Ellie the whole time I was playing but in GTA V, I didn't care much for the characters.

Had to vote for Last of Us...... the game play was just so-so but the story was so great that its a must play for any gamer.

Ugh I've only played two of those (GTA5 and Last of US). Own Tomb Raider, Bioshock, and XCOM but haven't gotten to them. From that list of games alone I would go with GTA5 as I couldn't even finish TLoU. My game to add though would be Metro Last Light and Killzone for next-gen favorite.

1. The Last of Us
2. GTA5
3. Bioshock: Infinite
4. Battlefield 4 now that the multiplayer is somewhat playable

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any major ones. South Park Stick of Truth was supposed to be that game, but I can't think of anything else besides that. Maybe there was a cult hit or two that flew past most peoples noses.
