So there was some kind of block party going on, Chicago, IL, I was told it was a parade but I saw it was all in one place unless the did all that before hand. Never been to one of these and I thought it'd be cool. Overall, it was nice. Cool vibe, three stages of music going on, each one unique and making their crowd go wild. The one with the two body builders dancing in underwear seemed to be the most popular though. Gotta admit, those guys were shredded. Kinda wanted to just go up there and ask them what they do for those abs they got. Saw a chick with her bitties hanging with tape over the areola. That was pretty sweet.
That said, all these pride parades or block parties have one thing in common. Expensive beer and food, insanely crowded, and some company showing how much they support everything going on. I did get a great brat and miller lite for a steal of $13. About $2 cheaper than the Puerto Rican Pride deal so you're practically losing money by not going to these things. Overall those, it was alright. It reminded me of comic-con in that it was more about people wanting to buy stuff and hanging out with their friends. I did end up donating about $10 to the foundation who put it altogether though. These things do offer multiple performers and I think that's pretty cool alone. Even found a venue selling luchadore masks. Got me a silver and blue mask, fits like a charm. Overall, fun little time, but nothing too memorable.
