Them not getting Ironside for Fisher in Blacklist was one of the most boneheaded moves ever. Michael Ironside IS Sam Fisher. Period.

Free weekend for this game at least on Steam. Played a few missions last night. Decent game and going for $20 base game right now. Might wait a bit more for a bigger price drop on the Gold edition as that is about $30 right now.

Re-downloaded this yesterday. Do you need the season pass to do the Splinter Cell mission? If you don't, how do you get to it. I think I must be blind.

No you don't need the season pass. Head to La Cruz, where you'll see a story mission icon in the north west corner.

Started playing this game this weekend. Better than FC5. All I have for the moment.

I bought it this weekend after doing the trial too, really enjoying it. The game is sooooooooooo beautiful on the X. I'm constantly impressed with the graphics, glad I waited to buy it on the X. Game is ton of fun in coop too, if any of you other new guys want to team up some time, let me know.

i like the lights at night, when in a chopper, and the car headlights going down mountain passes.

Well I played it for a couple hours during the trial and didn't like it much. The open world and graphics are great. Seems like a lot of stuff in the game. But the gameplay itself I just couldn't get behind. The controls seemed really clunky compared to say Division or Siege, at least on PC. Maybe if it drops to $10 or something down the road I'd be willing to give a try again but neither myself nor my two friends playing it enjoyed it.

I find the controls to be solid, with the exception of driving. Driving sucks balls, so I fly everywhere.

Yea driving is pretty bad but made for some good laughs launching vehicles off cliffs trying to figure it out. Maybe it's better with a controller but it just doesn't feel like it knows weather it's a third person or first person shooter with KB/M.

The driving controls are fine as long as you've played lots of rally games and you're able to slide the vehicles around the curves.

This is $20 at Best Buy this week for the PS4 and X1 versions.

The driving was really tough for me at first, but I'm used to it now. I think the general "on foot" controls are perfect though, have had no complaints at all. Feels like as responsive and intuitive as any good shooter to me.

Been playing this more lately after buying it last year, a lot to like and quite a few things to dislike. I don't get why we can't invert the flying controls without it also inverting the on foot gameplay, why not allow separate options? flying is a pain in the ass because you get shot down so easily, why aren't there any kind of flares or anything to help keep the missiles from hitting you? and why do they shoot at stolen vehicles that they have no way of knowing aren't piloted by their own people?

I also wish once you take out an entire enemy force at a base that the rebels would take it over and it wouldn't just repopulate with enemies after you leave. It's a nice looking game and the on foot controls/shooting are nice and there are a lot of really nice touches like the radio interviews etc but it seems like they skipped over some pretty basic stuff. Playing this does make me wish even more that Far Cry 5 had a 3rd person option though lol.

I agree about the on foot controls but the driving just doesn't fit the world, it's not responsive enough for the type of roads we are forced to drive on. With so many tight windy mountain roads you'd think the driving would be tighter and that the camera would be more fluid, half the time I can't see what's ahead of me.

Got the game super cheap for PC and must say I am enjoying it more than I did the beta.

It’s a really good game. Lots of fun. Plus they have added loads of free content and continue to do so.

How do you progress the game? I have done all the story missions in the first area, interrogated everybody but nothing has popped up. Am I suppose to just drive to a new area or something?
