God of War

Thanks for always being right as usual.

I back my claims can any of you? My evidence/proof do all the talking. All the sarcasm in the world ain't gonna change the fact that I've been right. You'll be wise to sit down and listen.

So in conclusion Andy and Sasquatch are making random assumptions based on alternative facts and not the actual facts.

I dont think its a random assumption to suggest shennannigans if Sony can announce two games due in February and March last October but this 'March' game needs to wait another 3 months to announce just because.

Especially for a multitude of other reasons like the lack of gameplay shown or the numerous other last minute delays we saw to Sonys other first party games.

I don't know why this is even worth an argument, much less a d*ck waving contest full of boasts about "being right." (Congratulations? Take a victory lap and phone your mom; I'm sure she'll be proud.)

When it comes out is trivial, imo (as long as it makes 2018 ). The only thing that matters is whether it's good or not.

I don't care when it comes out. I just care whether it's good or not.

So you're saying the hype and delays for games don't affect your enjoyment of a great game? What a weird species of gamer you are, Andy. Hype and delays are bad! That's why Scalebound had to be canceled. It had no chance of being a good game with respectable sales and reviews that would bolster a weak lineup of exclusive games. Sony just keeps taking chances and succeeding. I hate that s***.

For the record, I am wrong. Always.

Hey! How dare you disparage Bree Olsen and Emmy Rossum with this nonsense!

If this continues I shall be forced to challenge you to a duel.

You, sir, are correct about their hotness.

There, I said it.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that that guy was a sarcastic know-it-all to.

That little snippet of the GI interview has me hyped. Definitely getting an OG Clash of the Titans vibe.

I am confused by the criticism that they haven't shown enough gameplay because people kept telling me that Sony shows off their games too much and now its not enough?

maybe this game is secretly canceled like Dreams

GOW 3 March 2010 release
GOW 4 ? 2018

Is that a tad much to wait?

Game Informer: "Removing Kratos' Blades of Chaos and replacing them with one axe is a risky move, and it took years of work before the team was happy with how it felt and played.

Watch the video interview with McDonald below to learn about the role the axe plays in Santa Monica Studio's new vision for combat in God of War."

Looks good. I'm glad the combat is a slower and less frenetic than previous God of War titles. That should make it feel a bit less hack & slash and more strategic.

Looks amazing. Linear or not.

The previous games had amazing set pieces and scale. It will be interesting to see how they handle wider environmental shots.

Could not disagree more.

To me, it looks bland and uninspired. Like SSM had a bunch of time to figure out a fresh concept, failed to find one, until someone just said "OK guys, let's just shoehorn God of War into the Last of Us/Uncharted mold."

Whenever I see clips of the game all I see is that s***ty hallway with mindless fodder enemies thrown in your way. You could not pay me $60 bucks to do that for 25 - 35 hours.

I'm glad they've made the changes to be honest, while previous games were mindless arcade style fun that formula started to get old, it was just trying to top the biggest set piece from the last game and seeing how much more violent it could get without any real reason to do any of it. If they hadn't made the changes I doubt we'd be getting another one. This looks like it's just as violent but they actually wanted to create a story that could be engaging and give Kratos more dimensions than just a screaming revenge seeking monster. I wouldn't be shocked if we had far fewer giant bosses, I'm sure there will still be huge things to fight but I want them to be good gameplay experiences rather than just trying to top killing a Titan or something again. Everything they've shown/talked about has me psyched for this game, I found GOW3 to be a big let down so I skipped Ascension, this one looks like at least on the surface it's fixing everything I was sick of with the series.

Yeah, this looks like you'll actually be able to feel like you are in control of what's going on vs just a constantly growing number of hits on enemies you don't even notice after a while.

They've always been that way.

And thus we've found our problem. I could play these types of games back in the late 90's/early 00's but we've been inundated with these "Walk forwards through a digital hallway while the game throws you 20,000 enemy AI to make you feel empowered" games.

I know people are excited for it but I just thought I'd throw my two sense in. That looks like work to me.
