GOW and Shadow Complex Available for Backwards Compatibility

You go into "games" on the dashboard, then scroll all the way to the right to the "Ready to install" section, if you have a digital license, they will show up there. If you have a disc, you put in the disc and install it as normal.
SHADOW COMPLEX is up (88%), i had to sign out and sign back in to make it appear. No Gears yet though.

nice, I might have to give Gears a shot, maybe it will help me get ready for Ultimate Edition although I remember trying this game again a couple yrs ago and it was pretty rough
Impressions for Shadow Complex.. Ok. Cloud save uploaded. I have all the upgrades and secrets unlocked. The framerate is a bit iffy, it's particularly noticeable when running with the friction dampener and moving from screen to screen and you will get a bunch of missed/skipped frames. I imagine this is due to the forced v-synch issue that Mass Effect has. Otherwise game has no visual or audio glitches that I could see/hear. If they can make it run 25% smoother it'd be perfect

Gears of War Impressions:
Ok, started out on the train level, last but one chapter of the game. Encounter some framerate dips, not too frequent, but obvious. Started from Act 1 Chapter 2 ...and really impressed with the emulaton. The pop-in that was in issue in 2006 has been for all intents and purposes, eliminated. Everything loads almost instantly. Reloading from death takes about 3 seconds instead of 6-9 seconds on 360. No performance issues at all and no tearing. If they can resolve the slowdown in the latter levels, it would truly be better than the original in every way.

I put the gears disk in, it prompted me to do a 7gig install and then it wouldn't install and I got some error message. Tried again and nothing, any ideas??
Maybe since your profile says you played Gears, X1 still needs to install it. So when you try to play it you'll need to put a disc in?
I don't have my disc anymore (sold in probably a year after it launched), but I did do the GwG freebie, so I should be good to go.
The GwG digital download works nice. Just played 10 minutes and past the first scene. The graphics still hold up decently for a 9 year old game.

That sucks. Must be a slow roll out. I got SC available first (earlier in the day). But Gears showed up around 7 or 8pm est.
Just in case, you have to be part of the preview program too.
not sure why mine didn't work then, I believe I tried after 8pm EST. ill have to check again tonight, Shadow Complex showed up but not Gears but I only have the disc of Gears and not digital
Its all good but how do u invite your friends or join their games when the 360 home button takes u x1 dashboard?
You have to hit menu and select at the same time to get to the 360 home, if I remember correctly.
Nice. Ill try it later. I wanted to join friends game in session but didnt know how to get to 360 home.
