Lol that's me.
I want to get a Forza game, just to create a bad Drivatar.
I'm drunk when I game, so I'll never win a driving game.
Is it true this game won't have an offline career mode? I've read that elsewhere, but idk...
Has there been an update? I think Kvally had posted a link that made it sound like the only offline mode was training/driving school type stuff to get you ready for online. It has one.

No wonder their games keep getting delay. They spend too much time on times few care about.
Measure lights & paint material of actual cars.
I am an automotive engineer for car interior, & We do (not me personally) measure paints & lights. But there is a logical reason too, as lights & materials must synegized across the whole interior, from different suppliers. A different glossiness of paint, different intensity of lights & color can be obvious. The actual color/glossiness/finish of paint is FAR less significant. In a digital game when you can apply same material with a click of a mouse, or button, its unneccessary.
Its overtkill what GT team is doing, beside, did you missed I said the part paint & finish & lighting are specified? This means both the specification & actual measured result srae available, so they can just ask the manufacturers.
I like the traing bits. If there is one thing I want Forza to ape from GT( other than it's stellar lighting model) would be a fundamentals trainer. Teach us the basics of the apex, proper braking and shifting in/out of corners, walk through manipulating tire temperature on different cars (especially cars with high dependence on temp like F1), etc. I don't remember GT getting too in the weeds either, but the licencing tests have instructional value. You can play the "campaign mode" offline, but there is no career mode as in the past:
Beginner’s School
From basic skills such as hitting the brakes and how to turn into a corner, fundamentals can be learned from the bottom up, which will prove invaluable for newcomers to driving games.
Mission Challenge
As you work your way through short missions, you will automatically pick up fundamental driving skills without even realizing it. In the end, you will have a level of skill that will allow you to participate in major race events.
Circuit Experience
Through actual experience on a race track, you will step into the true world of high-performance driving. Use the knowledge of track layouts learned in the mission challenges to pick up the basics of how to conquer a race course.
Race Etiquette
In online, as well as real races, etiquette on the track is as important as performance. Learn the rules of etiquette and sportsmanship that’s required in all player-vs-player races. Even if you’re not a top driver with lots of confidence in your skill, you will still have plenty of fun because each player will be matched fairly with people of their own level for fair and equal online racing.

The developers sound super passionate, and IGN sound impressed!
Sony developers 'get' colour pallets and tone unlike any others. They look so much more true to life than anything the competition offers, even on PC.
So it looks like it's still not a true campaign and just trials and such?
