Gran Turismo Sport Official Thread

It sure will be the best selling and likely best playing racer thus far this gen
We can be sure the backgrounds won't be card board cutouts as well like a certain other racer.
Not sure why you can't call out the bulls*** going here.
as for cutouts, there are still tree walls, man.

Not sure why you only quote me when I just responded with a fact and some likely facts? But that would be a lie as we both(and any honest person who's paying attention) know why this is.

Because you took a needless bulls*** shot with the cardboard trees. Lots of games running 60 frames have them, and so does this GT.

Polyphony needs to stop wasting time on these half games and get on GT7 already. At this rate, it won't be out until the end of the generation. 137 cars, reused GT6 assets (from the looks of those tracks) and a photomode that actually looks like it had some work put in. If the article is to be believed, the sounds haven't been improved either (saving them for GT7?). I wish they would just be honest and get some extra revenue from a remaster of GT6. Hopefully it's not full price.

It wasn't needless as he threw the jab 1st.
Not going 2 respond 2 your speculation of how the game will turn out.

This game was never going to look as good as Driveclub due to the 60fps but I have to say the lighting is superb.

Oh I understand that, then again I think DC proved you don't need to be 60 fps to have a racer with responsive controls. It's always up to each person though, I can't tell someone else that they have to enjoy 30 fps and better graphics but this game almost looks like they are just going with old assets yet again. I would think that with all of the time they've had they'd put out something that looks a bit better than this, especially when this isn't really even a complete game.

Polyphony Digital need a bigger team. They have like 130 employees whilst Turn 10 has around 300 I believe. Like seriously it would not hurt to employ another 50 people to help speed up development and improve the game.

The game looks rough at this point.
No deformation on the grass, no dust being kicked up when going off the track.

The replays look nice. The sense of speed looks nice.

Overall disappointing though. I was hoping for an answer to Forza on PS4. I guess we'll have to wait a few more years.

It hasn't been the best playing racer since Forza Motorsport released....and that isn't fanboy platform war bulls*** either.

So is this basically GT6 remastered? I mean in terms of tracks.

Who knows what they're doing these days. Gran Turismo 6 should have been a PS4 launch title. The series is all out of whack now, lol. But i'm a big fan and will continue to support it.

Wow. I remember when these guys oozed quailty frm every angle for their time.

They can make the spectators out of tissue paper for all I care...give me a racer with current gen car modeling and not throw-ins from 2 gens ago. Give me realistic physics, intelligent AI, and proper crash damage. Specators have as much bearing in a racer as paintings on the walls of Uncharted...they are window dressing and have absolutely NOTHING to do with the enjoyment of a game. Bringing something like that up is something a picky Junior Gamer would do though so understandable.

Riiiight. How often do you see people on the side of the road in Forza? This is the mantra of a fanboy that goes off of freeze frame pictures on the internet instead of you know, actually playing the darn game. And then you criticize people for commenting without even playing GT Sport yet... and that's after you claiming it will miraculously be the "best playing" racer. This is exactly why people think you are such an ass clown.

Are you a bit challenged? 1st I never owned a Xbox One(according 2 you) and now I never played the Forzas?
 Get over the fact that I have taste.

I don't know why they need people standing on the side of the road, keep the spectators in stands so they are further back and the details don't matter as much. What bothers me is crappy looking trees and grass and hell even dirt. While that may not have anything to do with the gameplay it sure does have a lot to do with the overall presentation.

Gran Turismo Sport Beta Cancelled

The Gran Turismo Sport beta has been cancelled, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed.

Speaking to VideoGamer, Yamauichi said that delivering a beta requires as much work as completing work on the full game. As a result, developer Polyphony Digital has decided to scrap the beta and focus on launching the full game this year.

"That's something that I'm very, very sorry about," he said. "In order to do a beta test we have to make a gold master of the beta test code, and for us it actually takes as much effort as to finish the real master code of the actual game."

"Considering the release timing that we announced, we decided that we just don't have enough time to do two gold masters for the game. By omitting that it saves us about three months of time."

He later clarified that it is "most likely" a beta for the game will not be available at all prior to the game's launch.
