Although many disapprove, police say dispersing fliers is freedom of speech, and they won't pursue the case unless a crime is committed.

Let me get this straight, people. If this is, indeed, a freedom of speech, then how come people can get into trouble for saying that they're planning to murder/assassin/threatening the President of USA, EVEN though they haven't done anything just yet!? Is this, technically-speaking, a freedom of speech, though? According to this [link], "Threatening the President of the United States is a Class D felony... punishable by 5 years of imprisonment, that is investigated by the United States Secret Service." Although it is true that the KKK people in my town has not done anything to harm the black people, we all know that black people and KKK people got a long history in the past. And it doesn't always work out very well when confront with each other. KKK is a hate-crime and a very poor education about black people. It's so amazing how people can be so incredibly stupid for hating other people just because of color skins.

Haven't read the article, just this thread, but I don't see them suggesting any violence in those flyers, unless you're saying that the mere existence of the KKK is an actual crime in and of itself. Basically, freedom of speech does allow the KKK to exist as it allows NeoNazis and Westboro Baptist Church to as well. Until you can find evidence of the KKK committing actual crimes, then they get to continue their existence as a law abiding entity. As for threats toward a president, they happen so often and frequently that it'd only embolden those who believe America is a legit Nazi regime to go even further. In other words, it'd end up doing more harm than good to arrest people on what are usually empty threats. Besides, if Bush wasn't killed, then Obama should be able to get out of it all relatively unscathed.

It is true that they have not done a crime just yet and I can clearly see that myself, I just find it weird that police would not hesitate to arrest those people with empty-threat toward President of USA. It makes no difference than KKK/black people situation. I know for sure that if a person passes out the flyer on how to kill the President and/or how much they hate him, even though they haven't done anything to harm the President, police will search for the people as soon as possible. EVEN on Internet, people can get into trouble for that. Heck, NSA can enter anyone's laptop and look at their personal stuffs (or so I heard, lol.) I don't know. The laws and all that crap doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
 
But you know what? I love KKK people (Jesus commanded me to love thy enemies). And I do believe that they need help! I just hope that they will not do anything to harm or even kill my family/friends/anyone in my town because ANYTHING could happen.

Look at the Bundy situation. Now think that times a million. Nobody is gonna come out of it looking good. I'm sure at some point they have to decide what's a threat and what's some guy talking out his ass.

Well, when two sides think that other side is wrong, the BBQ usually doesn't happen as a result. Or it's a very awkward one to say the least.
 
Freedom of Speech is not unlimited. I don't know why people would want a world without rules and laws to keep chaotic and disruptive human behavior regulated and under control. Laws are needed for a proper society to exist. That is why you cannot threaten to kill the President or anyone else for that matter. But nothing in that filer suggests any such violence.

I'm sure this isn't exclusive to any race or ethnicity or group but I just find it funny how these so called groups always try to make statements by beating up people in handicapped fights.

Gangs, hate groups, etc. they all do this.
 
Come to Canada... KKK tries to up and start in my neighborhood and we'll shove a multicultural ass whoopin' right up their backsides.

It's sad that in this day and age that so many people can't learn to just live together. If I'm going to hate someone they've got to give me a damn good reason, much more than the color of their skin or their culture.
 
just remember stupid people come in all colors, i'm more likely to be hurt by someone of my own color rather than that of a another....

A mossberg 500 is cheap and can stop a lot of problems before they start.

Just an FYI. Not all white supremacist groups advocate violence against other races. There are a fair amount of them that just want to help other white folks have a better lot in life. Be that living in an all white, christian neighborhood or give jobs to qualified white folks over unqualified "colored" folks. They don't want nor promote violence, they just want to live their way without the interference of the "other" folks. I know people in these groups and while there is no love lost for the black man or jew, there's no energy wasted hating them for what they are.

Speaking of, wasn't there an article recently where one of the higher up muckity mucks of the KKK said they had revised their mandate to no longer promote violence towards the other races but to simply be about helping the white man and "white christian culture" regain their pride or something to that effect?

yeah they have tried to promote the race rather than the violence towards others, however there are always going to be radicals flying under the KKK banner that continue to give the group the bad press.

Violent or not it's still pretty obvious that RACIST GROUP IS RACIST.

Would they be upset if that job mentioned up there went to a qualified colored folk? I'd bet dollars to donuts that they would! Hating someone based on a cultural difference, religious difference (something I'll never understand) or skin color is so primal it's scary. We aren't cavemen anymore. As I mentioned in an earlier post, if I'm going to hate or just 'peacefully dislike' someone they better give me a damn good reason.
 
As a minority of sorts, I don't care too much if an idiot quietly hates me simply for my ethnicity. For the most part, those kinds of idiots rarely amount to much and therefore any real tangible effect on my life, such as lost job opportunities, are minimal.

That said, different ethnicities experience different kinds of discrimination, and even non-idiots in positions to affect others are sometimes unconsciously governed by prejudices that they themselves are oblivious to. It's not a trait restricted to white people, but it is a fact that white people tend to occupy a lot of those positions of power and so those prejudices manifest themselves in a certain way.

Man there are some things you can't say. Look I don't agree at all with these people let me get that straight.
You also can't say bomb on an airplane or fire in a movie theater.
The problem is that people lack common sense to some matters. While these people have no sense at all. How can you claim to practice Christianity, but hate Jews. Jesus was a Jew!
Just pray for them to let the hate go.
