I think this looks great! the original 1978 movie is one of my favorites of all time and this is a direct sequel to that, they are skipping over everything else, even John Carpenter's sequel. I'm so happy that they finally got the mask right again! :)

Might be the first Halloween I see in theaters in 30 years.

I don’t remember much from Rob Zomie’s films, I liked H2O.

This looks good I like they went with a direct sequel to the original film.

It's one of my favorites, as well. This seems unexpectedly well done. So they are skipping part 2? That's the only other one with merit, imo... but I don't mind then skipping everything else.

4 and H20 are my favorites. But yeah they are skipping 2, no brother/sister angle.
I preordered the mask from trick or treat studios.

I thought the whole idea of this sounded ridiculous or like another John Carpenter dud. I'm am pleasantly very surprised and this even looks like an improvement over H20.

I really hope the Trent Reznor theme makes it's way into this either in the Title or End Credits.

I really like how well this is lit, its creepy but you can still see everything, it's funny I love how Halloween 4 looks as well but it's the total opposite of this. I've seen and bought all of the Halloween movies but if I'm honest with myself the only ones that I can say are good are the two originals, Halloween 4 and H20 .

Halloween 5 was where they started taking a wrong turn and 6 is where they crashed into the wall, resurrection was pathetic even though a few tweeks and some better choices in casting could have made a big difference. Then of course we have Rob Zombies white trash meth induced fantasies. The first one was ok but the second one was awful, he should have had the movie taken away from him the minute he said he wanted to show Michael walking around without his mask.

Rob Zombie's effort was a bit weird with the trailer trash family, but mostly decent as horror flicks go.

I kind of wish he'd build of that as a learning experience and do an original slasher / supernatural character.

The first one yeah but the 2nd one was Halloween heresy lol.

I freaking love these movies. I love all slasher movies, but one point that always makes my opinion nul and void?

H2O and Scream 4 are my favs of their series.

Premiered at the Toronto film festival and has gotten mostly good reviews from what I've read.

Halloween will always be my favorite horror franchise, Michael Myers was always the coolest looking "killer" in these movies IMO, he always looked the scariest to me. My favorite is the first one but also like 2, 4 and H20 a lot, the others weren't good movies but I still went to see them and bought the dvd's when they came out just to have them. Scream is a good series too, the first one was the best of the ones I've seen but I haven't seen Scream 4.

I'm the same with the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street series.

Yeah I have the Friday the 13th dvd box set as well, I also have a couple of the Nightmare movies, I saw them all in the theater but Freddy started getting really corny in the last few MIO. I even have Freddy vs Jason lol.

I loved Freddy vs. Jason.

Did you guys see the Friday the 13th fan film, Never Hike Alone? It's surprisingly good, really made the rounds on the horror fan forums and Youtube channels last year. Pretty sure it's on Youtube for free.

Yeah he’s the best, the original unstoppable masked, silent killer.
