Does anyone still have this game? I just found it and dusted it off from my closet and installed it a few hours ago and have been playing for a few hours and man does it bring back the glory days of OG Xbox and great times of console online gaming. The game can be bought still on www.newegg.com new for 20 dollars. Yes the online is still up and there a decent size group playing. I have been playing it with a X360 controller and it felt like 10 years ago, only in 1080p 60fps. If you don't have the game and want to play, I can help you out :)

Not a very powerful one at all, any mid range card in the last 6 years should run it fine.

I'd rather play Halo 2 on my original Xbox. I can wait to play the multiplayer again when the definitive version comes out on the Xbox One. Thanks anyway though.

I wasn't even aware this was on PC. I thought only Halo 1 was released on PC.

Really? Halo 2 was a part of Windows Vista's hype. MS hyped the game and made it Windows Vista exclusive to sway gamers away from Windows XP. It's a pretty damn good port with graphical enhancements. I used to own the game. I don't know remember why I sold it.

Liv, Dark, Val, PM's sent gentleman! Sorry last night I fell asleep almost immediately after posting this.

I will say it is an OK port. It's almost a straight port with obvious up rezing and a server browser. There are some performance issues in some small maps no matter what you do. I do play this with a X360 controller. Overall the game is fun and instantly gives you reminders of why the mid 2000's were a great time for online gaming and the classic Halo 2 nostaglia. I'll be on playing today after I get home from work, my Xbox Live GT is twevo7 and no you do not need Xbox Live Gold to play online or to enjoy all online features. The game also has dedicated server tools and also a map editor, the game also supports custom maps.

If we get enough people to play, I may set up a dedicated server box for this running off of 60/40 FiOS.
