343, dx12. Guaranteed 1080p, especially after the comments from Build 2014 telling devs the easiest way to get to 1080 60fps.

What was said during Build?
I saw a comment from someone on another site and basically he believes Halo 5: Guardians is a spin-off and that Halo 5 is coming this year. They have done this announcement to throw us offguard.
Nah i highly doubt that.
That's OK for a couple of levels but not for the whole damn game. They need to bring something NEW,something fresh,something hype-worthy to this series.
Basically the guy on stage said, stop putting all your sh!t it esram, not everything needs to reside there, they let you use main memory for outputing to the screen too, so use it. This i'm sure 343 as well as all other 1st and second party devs know.

Nah not nessecarily like that long demo, i mean a proper Halo 5. It is possible, correct me if i'm wrong but weren't there plans to make Halo an annual release? It's probably Halo 2A though, plenty of signs pointing to it.

Well when it's Fall 2015...DX12 should be in full effect like Phil Spencer said and what that Sniper Elite 3 dev said, a new/updated SDK letting developers reach 1080p more easily on X1 and what you explained about Build 2014. Enough reasons to expect it to be 1080p/60fps. Really though, even if it does end up 900p or higher but not 1080p, i am sure we;ll love that game.
I wonder if these Guardians are what the Ridley Scott movie is based on. We know it is not based on the Chief.

Awesome! I'm pumped its next fall, I don't want it rushed and there are plenty of good games out this year already.

Don't want them wasting power on 1080p, would prefer better graphics like when they dropped Ryse to 900p. We know it's 60fps so 900p would be great. It's not like 1080p @ 60fps is the norm on any other console except last gen ports so if this is truly Next gen looking I'd hope for 900p tops.

I think this is similar to the Kinect removal in that they're getting the "bad" news out of the way early.
They promised Halo would be out this year and a lot of people assumed that would be Halo 5. If they announced that it was coming 2015 at E3 that's all that people would focus on.
Now we can get the complaints out of the way, and at E3 we can focus on enjoying the gameplay.
Huh? Almost everyone was already saying that Halo 5 wouldn't be out this year. People have been speculating for months that Halo 2 Anniversary is coming this year and that Halo 5 would be a 2015 release.
I definitely will like it either way, I just feel like there's been too many remakes lately in the industry in general.
The Halo 5 logo isn't in perspective, so, it's fake, unless the Microsoft designer messed up.

I totally get that, but Frank O'Connor just weighed in on halo waypoint and he said there's gonna be another shoe to drop at E3 and he's not talking about Halo 5. I can't wait!
Hell yeah! Maybe the AI Cortana was created from a real life counter part! That would be next gen by itself!

Im actually wondering if we'll get something something like Halo THIS year now? I mean sure, we got the shows coming up but it would be nice to get a remake like the rumored Halo 2 with new visuals. Make it so 343i!
