Has MS announced what hdmi version is being used for ports on the x1..is it hdmi 1.4 w/ ARC? And seeing that hdmi.org released specs for hdmi 2.0 recently in september, is it possible that the batch of x1's that ship next year onwards will have the updated hdmi 2.0 version?

HDMI 1.4. HDMI 2 was out after it started production (I believe) so it won't have that; maybe in the future with whatever revision they put out.
Prob HDMI 1.4a...hopefully it has all of the specs...
