resolution is set correctly but I cannot adjust my screen size so that I can actually read or see whole dashboard screen. This is even a bigger pain on store cause entire left hand menu is behind my screen and not visible. Even went into disoplay are settings says up and down arrow to enlarge or shrink but it don`t do nada.

i have it set to 1080P and the option that says up to enlarge and down to shrink if u pull up display area settings don`t do anything plus is i hit x button to enter as it states i get sent back to main settings menu. ugh! I even tried using lower resolution but nothing. Never had an issue adjusting screen to fit my tv with either ps3 or xbox 360 so what gives!? ugh!

That screen works fine for me.

But either way, make sure your TV is set to 1:1 pixel mapping mode.. called various things depending on make/model, but google it.

It's one of those really weird settings that should be default but rarely is.. it's like they expect you to buy an HDTV and plug it into a 15 year old cable box or something.

I'd check your remote or TV menu for some setting along the lines of "Format" or "Zoom" or whatever. I know my set is really old, but it had options for the HD resolutions like "Stretch", "Stretch Plus", etc. If you have something like that enabled, it'll cause that kind of effect.

You were right! :) Somehow my format on tv remote was set to cinema or something wierd liek that instead of normal format which is why everything was too large to fit on screen. lol i feel silly now. thank you so much! :) there`s a reason this community had been great even back in the old teamxbox days! :)

anyone else have this problem or have any helpful suggestions?

What Bunzholes told you is likely the solution to your problem.

You may need to look in the Display Settings of your TV, try changing the Aspect Ratio to 16:9 or Just scan or 1:1.

I've never heard of COBY and I Googled it just now and hardly anybody out there seems to like these TV's.

Edit: Ah good work, you got it sorted! ;) Hrudey ftw!

Glad to hear it! My TV has a format button along with input and power on the front panel and my three year old loves pushing buttons, so I'm pretty familiar with those symptoms.
