Hey Ash! Whatcha playin' now?! v 3.0!

Still on Horizon: Zero Dawn. Still fun. Still wish the Alloy was more interesting.

Yeah she has a paper thin personality in the game. Many of the characters do. The human AI is also really bad throughout the entire game. Fighting robots was fun but the humans in the game kept it from being a classic IMO.

Been playing Dead Rising 4. I love the humour of it, but if you removed the weapon/vehicle customisations, it's pretty generic at the end of the day.

Still, dumb fun is still fun.

Elite Dangerous (PC) is my main game right now. After being away for several months and just getting back into it a couple months back, I'm really loving it again. Also playing the new Crash N Sane Trilogy (PS4) and just started Offworld Trading Company (PC).

Just Zelda. I know I need to start playing other titles but I am beyond hooked.

Finished Axion Verge, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom, Wonder Boy - The Dragon's Trap, and Sonic Generations this weekend.

Playing GoT Telltale Game, Rayman Legends, Nex Machina, Rocket League, and Guns, Gore & Cannoli

Was just about ready to be done with Killing Floor 2, and they released a summer event patch with a new map, new zed skins, balance updates, fixes, etc. on PS4.....

Since finishing Persona 5 I have since moved on to Final Fantasy 15.

So this is Square's idea of an open world game, huh.......I like it. You have a stamina bar so no infinite sprinting without investing in that skill to do so. Plus it encourages travel by Chocobo (think horse but its a giant bird) and your vehicle the Regalia. Speaking of the super cool looking Regalia the car is on rails so no wild driving into oncoming traffic is permitted and apparently you're not allowed to break the speed limit and the thing needs to be refueled every so often.

And monsters come out at night.....seriously giant hulking freakn Monsters. So a day/night cycle is given even more importance. You have to camp/sleep before XP that you accumulated is tallied for stat increases and you need to eat for status buffs. The open world created for this game is a sight to behold, didn't know before hand that this game supported HDR. Horizon edges this game in the graphics department but only slightly.

After playing Persona 5 and now on to FF15 one thing has become clear to me. Some of these Japanese developers really put a large emphasis on Role Playing in their RPG. I'm not saying all RPG should be like this but its a nice change from some of the other RPG I've played where you just go from quest to quest without any of the stuff I've experienced on the last two games I have played.

I played two hours of Andromeda. Felt a little goofy to play. Seemed to be lacking overall. Also, my save got corrupted (first time that's ever happened), so I took it out of my PS4 and won't be returning to it any time soon.

Playing some ARMS too. Splatoon 2 comes out this week, too.

Nioh - Getting my kiester kicked in the caves, can't wait to find the next save shrine. Aside from that, loving the game so far, wish I'd played it when everyone else was still talking about it.

I should find the time for that again. Need to try new game plus and the DLC.

Yeah, I have a love/hate relationship with the game. It does some things very right (even weirdly right like the food and camping), but just falls waaaaay short in other areas. There is an amazing renderer in there that is marred by the blur-crazy AA solution.

I really enjoyed the very different combat system that works fantastically as a team/strategy/real-time combat system. Unlike anything I've seen

I think the animation is fantastic. I actually kinda like the overall design of the group, and the road trip angle is cool too. The world is kinda UNdynamic, though.

The story had lots of potential but they just plain blew it. The last third of the game is pretty much garbage, imo. The dialogue is pretty crappy, and they just don't behave like real people for the most part. Not enough of the Mechanic in the game.... I think I'm in love with her.... FOR HER PERSONALITY, PERVERT!!!

Putting the car on rails was a mistake. Traveling is a friggin' Chore.

Its a great game in my opinion. I've read a lot of hate about the story and how the game strips away the open world during the last part. But so far I'm having a lot of fun. I consider this my first Final Fantasy game since I couldn't get through FF13 and its linear path. And I've read that once the story is over there is a lot of end game content like high level hunts, quests and dungeons which is cool. I'm not sure I'll be able to complete all the game has to offer but its nice to know its there.

The combat is the star of this RPG. I'm still using wait mode to plan out my attacks since the combat can get a little too chaotic and is hard to follow because of everything that's going on. I really appreciate having that option. I read a lot of guides before I started which put me on the path to being overpowered early in the game. And now that I have weapons like the Ultima Blade and Bioblaster its been awesome destroying almost anything that gets in my way. I still have some troubles at night but I like that the night is more dangerous and I think its a mechanics more developers should put in their open world games.

I love Cindy the mechanic too. :hehe:

Finished GoT Telltale Game, Nex Machina and Guns, Gore & Cannoli.

How is NBA Playgrounds? I loved playing the NBA Street games back in the day.

Decided to finish Child of Light this weekend, after all these years.

So good.

Played a bit of SLAIN (pretty funstrating [that's fun and frustrating!]). Then some Bastion for a bit... I may just need a break from gaming and recharge the ol batteries.

Finished AC Unity this weekend, put about a half hour or so last night into the Stick of Truth. Funny little game so far.

Started Theif last night. Only done the opening act but seems decent and promising.

I jumped into Just Cause 3 on the 'BOne. Awesome game with fantastic destruction and explosions. That framerate though! Big towns at 5 star wanted level? It's like playing the bullet dodge scene from the matrix. I hope it runs better on the one X because I really like it in spite of that.

It depends. Get it if you have friend to play with because the game is hella frustrating if you play solo. The A.I. in this game is no joke. They will own your ass if you don't train yourself. You gotta teach yourself the timing of the game like when to shoot, block shots, etc. Another thing you don't get all the NBA characters from the get go. You have to grind to unlock NBA players by playing in the tournament. It has a sort of level system. Everytime you level up you get a new set of cards. You open it up to see what players you get. The game gives you 4 card decks to start off. Each deck contains 4 characters I think.

Still have a level or two left in Crash 1 from the remaster. Haven't touched it since I grabbed Splatoon 2. That game is probably my most played right now followed up by Elite Dangerous on PC.

Never played any of the Metro games but have had the Redux set for a while now. Decided to start 2033 Redux this weekend. Liking it so far!

Finally beat Last of Us. Took awhile because I had to wait until movie/gaming nights with my daugter. I didn't whack the doctor and nurse at the end btw.

What's another good story based game to play with a just-turned-12 year old who's already corrupted by Last of Us? Already did Tomb Taider and Horizon ZD with her as well. Lol

On my own time, playing Quantum Break and just started Hitman. Really digging the gameplay of Hitman.

Some of it might be a little much for a 12 year old but I just completed Until Dawn and it was really good. It's decision based so you could let her make some of the choices.

Started on Pillars of Eternity last night. Was shocked at first it would run effectively on my laptop but since it's a throwback to the Baldur's Gate type of CRPG, it shouldn't be that surprising. Oh, Obsidian, you are what Bioware should have been right now.

Get the expansions! The game is SOOOOO good! I can't sing enough praise for POE! Can't wait for the 2nd one! :bang:
