Hypothetical-360 Slim dies HD ?

So if my Slim 360 dies could I simply take the HD out and plug it into a new Slim and all my games etc. would come with it?

I'm just wondering what the potential life expectancy of the content I gave on my HD will be?

The way MS dropped the original Xbox I thought I would look into my options since we are on the verge of transitioning to a new gen.

It worked with my 360 fatty, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work with the slim

Yes. With the slim its even easier as you can pull the drive out easily and put it in a new slim (drive is in a removable caddy) or a new E model. With the Fatty, you had to remove the raw drive by taking apart the snap-on piece. Either way though, the drives are interchangeable between machines.

Ok guys thanks. That makes me feel a lot better. Yeah I guess I'm going to be in the market for a backup Slim just in case my current one dies.
