Ok here's the deal I got a real job today. The problem is yesterday I received an email from a T I applied to, saying Someone from W should be getting ahold of me very soon.
T= temp agency
J= Real job
W= where I would show up to work, as I'm not an employee there.
Here's the problem the J pays $10 hour, they don't drop, just walking through the place I noticed two things some of the employees looked like they were on drugs. Also their were a lot of safety things wrong.
I quit bud about 3 months ago, so in order not to get hurt I became very aware of safety stuff.
It's a real job though and it's a lot closer to home. Which is good because I just took the van to a mechanic, and it wasn't good news. Plus they busted my turn signal handle, and I didn't notice till I left the property.
Now T is telling me I will get $12 or $13 depending on what shift. Also T says that if I don't get hired on. W will give me $1000 dollars for just staying and not quitting.
Ts always make jobs out to be temp to hire, and good work environments. Rarely that's the case though. I've never been told I'd get a stack W for working a period of time, and if they don't hire give you something when your DNR ( do not return) temps don't get fired, I've never been DNR by the way.
Now J is first shift M-F with mandatory overtime. In which case I could be able to pick up my kids from daycare, give them their baths dinner which would be a tremendous amount of help for my wife. She wouldn't have to leave work early anymore. So she could be doing even better. More on that later.
W shift is unknown yet, but they work 12 hour shifts work 2 days get 2 off. Eventually till you get up to 3 or 4 days in a row sometimes.
W is very tempting for many reasons. You can get a rough estimate of what they pay, by what they pay their temps. 2 days working 2 days off is sweet also. But the drive, and it's a temp job.
J pay is lousy but it's an actual job. It's not like I plan on working there forever. Just long enough to put on my résumé, and find something like W. Catch 22 is W don't come along that often, if ever, for people like me. What they pay 2nd shift temps is about the same as what I've ever made. It would also be a drug free work place which is a plus.
W is a temp job. They could DNR me the day before the $1000 was available.
I plan on emailing T tomorrow. I'm supposed to start J Monday at 7am.
I don't know what I should tell them, also if W calls. Even I f I do good on the first interview there is a second one. Which is also unheard of. Which is telling me either they hire you, or DNR you.
It's not like I can call in my first week.
Also the wife thing, she's become so arrogant since she has got her "career" always talking about leaving me with jack. I put that women through school.
Kept a dead end job that i hated for 5 years 6 day weeks 3rd shift. Then took temp jobs to keep us afloat as she needed more schooling, or to be certified in this or that.
Now it's like this. She's always been violent drunk, that I can put up with. The flat out arrogance though that's some BS.
Please could use all the thoughts.
besides I need to get a divorce. Hey I took vows. I take that very seriously.
I would of asked somebody but he's been going through more than his fair share of stuff. So I don't want to flop this on him.
