That's pretty f***ed, to hire people when you're on the verge of bankruptcy. "Welcome to Telltale. Thanks for uprooting your whole life and moving across country to work for us. We have to let you go now."

Well, I'm going to download the last season of TWD, Episode 1. I was going to wait until the end of the season to play them through, but at this point, the end of the season is Tuesday.

... Hm, I couldn't find Episode 1 for sale by itself, only the Season Pass. I picked up Far Cry Primal for $15 instead.

What horrible leadership. Hopefully the talented people who worked there find better opportunities.

It's clear that studio took on too many projects, they should have just stuck with the walking dead and that wolf game. Sales for each title after the first TWD game dropped and constantly adding new things like GoT, Batman, Minecraft, Stranger Things etc were likely creating far too much overhead. Luckily I've seen several studios (Sony Bend, Naughty Dog, Insomniac and Ubisoft to name a few) tweeting out to those who lost their jobs that they are hiring.

I stuck this in the Sales thread, but I'll put it here, too, for those who don't visit there.

Ah a real shame, really liked the Walking Dead series and Tales from the Borderlands

I loved TWD Season 1 and Tales from the Borderlands. Those were great games.

That would be good. It's only right to try to wrap up their most famous series, rather than leave it hanging.

Might want to watch it on Mixer....

They're getting a lot of push-back. Cory Barlog chimed in.

The second and maybe final episode is out today. I've heard it's mediocre. Kind of a sour note to end on. But then, it was already soured.

I can't get an option to buy just an episode at a time. They only give me the option of buying a Season Pass. I'm not buying a Season Pass when the season is only two episodes long. Oh well. Like most Telltale games, it'll probably be heavily discounted in a few months.

I laughed at the media voice control bit... it's just Kinect without the kinect.

Telltale is pulling The Walking Dead: The Final Season from digital stores

As the trials and tribulations of Telltale Games continue, various storefronts including Steam, GOG, and the Xbox One and PS4 stores have abruptly begun to halt sales of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

In a statement provided to Kotaku, a Telltale representative says this decision comes after yesterday's news that "potential partners" might be brought in to finish production on episodes three and four of the series.

"We’re currently still working to find a way to hand off production of episodes 3 and 4 so that the season can be completed," said the representative. "The outcome of those efforts will determine when and how The Final Season returns to stores. We hope to have a firm announcement before the end of the week."

The success of walking dead first season get into their heads. Dispite a sharp downward spiral in sales, they keep pummpinh up license games & expanding.

I heard Skybound will employ Telltales' TWD staff to finish the game, which is cool.
