I've been working on a new style for a while. This one is a throwback for the people who liked the original "Mid-Tone" styles. I liked it so much I took it further to make it look far different than any other style we have thus far. I'm currently labeling it a "Beta" for the time being. It's pretty far along and it's ready for the wild and will eventually become the new default. The banner up top will rotate in and out. I'll be making another thread asking artists to submit some pieces for possible banner placement.

There is a styler for this... style, so that you can change the look of the colors, within reason, to make it more personal. There is a default menu so you can always revert back.

To select the "Cream (Beta)" style, navigate down below and click on your style's name and select it.

Not bad, not bad. Not sure if it'll steal me away from Block though.

thought 1) there should be less info in the user boxes because it creates a ton of dead space in peoples posts. most of the info isnt pressing (in my opinion) and could be placed in user profiles instead 2) the like/informative/funny bar should be 1/4 or 1/3 its current size

The extra info under the avatar reflects the other styles. I kept them for this one as well. If the majority want me to remove them then I'll gladly do that. As far as the likes bar, that would take some trial and error and hope it doesn't break the formatting of threads which is something that I don't have time to trial and error.

I agree with Joon, as there should be less info showing under the avatars for less dead space. CREAM is still my favorite!

I agree with that, and Kvally's post is a good illustration. (edit: looks like PV has changed it; before, it listed about 10 different things.)

I don't really all that info at my fingertips. I can check his profile if I need it.

understood. just something worth considering. another thing is, in my opinion, the quote boxes and like bar are sort of secondary information (the actual content of the post being primary) and so their colour should represent that; something a few shades lighter or darker than the two main cream and brown tones, rather than the current stand-outishy orange.

the orange is great for topic titles and such, like on the topic list pages, but for actual posts i think it clouds over the primary text/content.jut my opinion

apart from that i'm loving the colour scheme for cream, its easy on the eyes and simultaneously the browns are not as dull as the old mid-tone theme (which i also liked very much)

Adjust quote block color scheme and changed background color of likes bar.
