Is this real life?

James Corden just made a joke about the milking game on late night TV.

"So you make a milking motion to get a high score...every teenage boy says "oh I am going to be AWESOME at this game!!!""

LOLZER's, the jokes have only just begun. We're not laughing with you Nintendo, we are laughing at you.

THere must have been some developer at Nintendo who did thisto troll the shareholders for all their "Milking". I mean paid apps, 30 days 30 year old game demos, paid online, really expensive hardware, using paid app to be online so that you can sell their user date. it just screams "MIIIIILK IT ! MIILLLLK IT!" from some overgreedy share holder. :p

I mean, why not make a "milk that cow" game then to troll them :p. THey just got you fired anyway by making the company go bankrupt with their milking :D. I mean even the Xbox LIve App is free, and people always say Microsoft is greedy :D.

The milking minigame does not phase me. It's part of a collection of minigames in the 1,2 Switch. The quick draw looks like a fun game on a night with some friends over and a few drinks. They all look fun, even if some are almost shameful.

Here's my issue. I guess I thought this would be a pack-in or something. I thought this would be more if a demonstration of the HD rumble feature, but not a $40 game. Now I hear that there there's no pack-in? I don't know how I feel about all of this. I thought this was to bring back the Wii Sports vibe, but I really don't see why anybody would pay another $40 for it.

To top it off, both Sony and Microsoft have been regularly packing in actually good games. The fact that Nintendo can't seem to throw anything, even a cheaply made party game, just stinks, imo. Just saying.

...After thinking about it, the PS4 Pro didn't have a pack-in, either. In fact, the new releases of the other two didn't have one at launch.

I guess I just thought Nintendo set a precedent with the Wii, in order to demonstrate what the system did. It just seems so non-Nintendo that they couldn't pack anything in. Their excuse of saying that it's because they had to hit the $300 price point seems really silly.

The Nintendo apologists have avoided this thread like the plague. There really is no counter to this nonsense.

Normally I wouldn't be phased either, as I like silly games and don't mind looking like an arse (Got plenty of self respect to not care anymore ;)). But after Paid online and having to use a smartphone (which I'm against anyway for privacy reasons) to play this thing online? ooh yeah, I'm going to milk this GIF.. I'll milk it goood! And I'm a Nintendo enthusiast :D. The only way Nintendo is going to get me to buy this thing? Get rid of Paid online or at least make it worth my while WITHOUT the use of a Smartphone. Like allow me to play the full NES catalogue and have a discount on the SNES catalogue. That would make it a killer service :).

For goodness sake man EA has better value for money than Nintendo right now!

That's because we are not going to defend crap like this. Not like when Xbots were defending crap Kinect games like Fighters Uncaged. Talk about nonsense.

Fighters Uncaged?!? Now that is a stretch. Let's not try to make it like Ninty gamers are any different from Xbox gamers if not only by age, kiddo. LOL.

Yes

"Got my Kinect today. Love this game. Get to legally beat the crud out of bad dudes! It also gives me a great cardio workout"

"The game is designed like Punch out for Wii but without any controller is much more fun. Yes it is a lot of work out but it is very fun."

"i can't see what went wrong with this game. I had some real fun with this game, unlike those boring, generic shooters released every year. The gameplay is good, graphics are not bad and if the Kinect sensor can't read your moves then you are too close to the f***ing Kinect. Simple."

Meh, people defend their purchases all the time. I bet their enthusiasm didn't last long.

Funny how all the motion gaming stuff which seems exactly like Wii 2006, Ninty purposely didn't promote it as motion gaming. Instead, it's all about gaming on the go and HD rumble.

That Chinese guy with the cow hat I think just killed off sales from people who were on the fence. When Wii was a new thing and people were all gung ho swinging Wiimotes like a tennis racket, I think people know better now. Not only is motion gaming shallow, but you look like an idiot doing it too. So despite it all being a fresh experience and party fun compared to traditional m/k or gamepads, the gaming public is smart enough now to see it for what it is.

If motion gaming was a new way to play that was graciously accepted into the industry, Wii sales wouldn't have dropped like a roller coaster after 3 years, and Kinect and Sony Move would be all selling like gangbusters where every guy jumping up and down or waving his hands with a wand like a sword.

Switch will be a big seller for the first bit, and will die off. WIll be interesting to see how well it does during Xmas. Wii U sold great when it launched as it was both new and during the Xmas season, but Wii U had to wait another 12 months before its second wave of holiday sales. Switch should sell great at launch, but will sales still be great when the holiday ramp up comes around half a year later? You think it should.

But if it doesn't and it's all about MS and Sony again, and Switch is third place, it'll be the inevitable sign it's DOA.

Every console has a game that people will trash when it's not even relevant. It's a party game, who cares? Personally, i wouldn't be caught dead flailing my arms in public or whatever but if that's your thing then more power to you.

People act like 1-2 Switch is being marketed as their big game or something. Like i said, it's a party game and people will play it when out partying. I don't see what the big deal is.

I think everyone but Nintendo agrees that 1-2 Switch should have been a free pack-in ala WiiSports.

Wouldn't change the narrative though. People use games like 1-2 Switch to act like that's Nintendo's direction and ignore all the great games they make. Hey, at least 1-2 Switch will be released. Something we can't say about other games.

If you are so happy about it being released then I would expect to see a video of you in the future "milking the cow". Can you tell me something big that Nintendo has done that isn't cartoon-y kiddie-like? I would hope there is something, other than that 1 WiiU game around launch that didn't seem to sell very well.

Okay, i'll get right on it.

Some of you sound really threatened by Nintendo possibly having another successful console. I can't lie, it makes me very happy inside. No way Nintendo can release another console and compete with Microsoft and Sony. They're done! ~circa 2001

Ya'll are getting moldy af waiting for Nintendo to go third party. It ain't happenin.

I was actually rooting for Nintendo to do something wonderful. And maybe this thing will end up being just that. Doesn't seem that way to me. I've got one on pre-order from BestBuy but I will sell it on ebay in a New York minute if they are going for $500+ at launch. If not, I'll keep it and play the 2 interesting games they've got for it over the next year (Zelda + Mario).

So you admit you're part of the problem then? How many people are going to buy the Switch just to make a buck off eBay? I miss the old days when gamers were gamers. Buy that s***, support it, and love it. Then maybe, just maybe, Nintendo will take more chances. They can't compete with Microsoft and Sony's war chest of money. But you guys sit here and demand things from them that just aren't possible. Takes money to make money.
